Be Led to Enjoy Fruitfulness

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. What profit has he who works in that in which he labors? I have seen the burden which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can’t find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end. Life is quite simple. Every season looks different, but God is still the one who upholds you. That truth does not change, so it is pointless to be afraid or worried since God is consistently faithful and good.

Just trust Him and look out for the unique grace that is supplied for every season.

You don’t have to be smart. Just patient to listen and humble to follow His lead.

“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.” (Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Self-reliance is a trap. Lean on Him in everything.

It is when you forget about Him that you’re setting yourself up for a bad fall. Neglecting to pray and receive God’s word is a tell-tale sign of this impending fall.

We cannot reign in life when we are always depending on fleshly self efforts and crying to God as a last resort when everything turns bad.

Compromising on moral standards and making decisions based on fear never turns out well either.

“For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.” (Romans‬ ‭8:13-14‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Choose to be led by the Holy Spirit. We cannot make it on our own. Children of God are led by Him. We will enjoy restful fruitfulness just by following Him!

Cheers to thirty three and always need to pee|

It’s so bizarre that as a child, I pictured 33 to be “ancient". I admit my bones are starting to feel it but mentally, I feel so ALIVE and thankful to have earned yet another year.

32 was spent tired but thankfully deliriously happy. This was the year both kids were able to (mostly) self feed which meant Tim and I could actually have a conversation during dinner. It was also the year I stepped back more to focus on the family. It has been a hectic and quiet year all at the same time.

It’s been such a remarkable year for self growth and perservation. I grew up being known as the timid pushover of the family and while I know softness is a sign of strength, 32 was the year I decided to be unapologetically me.

I spent my teen years trying to stand out while fitting in at the same time (no wonder I struggled). Then I spent my 20’s trying to understand love. Now I am in my 30’s and I am FILLED with love. I think I can understand why some people say 30’s are the best years because at this age, I know I want in life and for myself. I’ve realised that walking away from toxic people and situations is the best form of self love although not easy. My friend circle may have shrunken but my relationships have deepened. Joy is found in the smallest things. Now at 33, I understand that the most important thing I should grow and protect is my peace.

The grey hairs have started to sprout at the top of my head and the baby lines are forming at the edge of my eyes each time I crack a smile. Yet there is so much compassion and love I have for the girl staring back at it from my mirror. It’s only this year I wanted to actually celebrate my birthday you know. I never liked to make a big deal as I previously believed everyday is a birthday but you know what? We deserve to be celebrated because each year marks a milestone of lessons learnt and memories made.

What do I hope for at 33? To live simply, love fiercely and laugh endlessly.

Thank you so much for all of your birthday wishes. May we continue to celebrate one another. Like a birthday candle, the world needs your spark.

I haven't cried often when I watched a movie for a long time. It means I sing many times in a movie. But this movie made me cry until I couldn't count. Because from the first ten minutes, I was crying when I "released the rocket off the base" and Ocky walked. Going to school.

The movie is over. Someone close to me why I cried so much and tease that I sing like an Ocky. I nodded. I thought some of my childhood would be like Ocky. I have insecure in some things. Wearing a spaceman hat to cover my face when I meet someone like this space and run away from this planet some days, but it shouldn't be just me that way. I think many people should have had a day like this.

I question myself why this movie hits so bad. I think the movie goes deep under the shell of humanity that is not about the look, gender, race, religion, political ideology, etc.

What is deeper than all that I say is "humanity" we have like each other. Afraid, worried, confused, weak, cuddle, and beautiful.

The movie shows us the "behind the scenes" of life. Even we can continue thinking that even the characters that the movie doesn't explain, there should be a sympathetic life.

So I don't feel angry with Julian's parents for showing up at the end of the story because I know that if I give me a little more time to get to know each other, we will understand them for doing this.

I used to sit and look at friends who are in a relationship and think that each person has "special skills" to survive. Some people may not like to do it, but there is a skill that brings life away. Some people don't say no. But if you try to write this like a flower in the middle of the page. Some people have skills to create laughter. Some people are skilled, so it's easier to live happily than others, etc.
