日前举办写真记者会的John Tan，正式宣布加入演艺圈，往全方位艺人方向前进。 签约Ljus经纪公司后，经纪人王衍任积极发掘John Tan的潜能，不止安排旅游节目主持、代言活动给他，广告试镜更是百发百中，日后更会推出个人音乐作品及参与电影演出，经纪人更大打人情牌邀请各领域的专业人士为John授课，导师人数高达12人，绝对可说是重点栽培。
身为老板兼朋友的王衍任，十分疼爱JOHN，现场送JOHN 3只他一直渴望想要的手表。JOHN说：“因为之前在面子书上曾上传张照片说犹豫不知想购买哪只，最后都没有买到。” 此礼物让JOHN大呼太喜爱了！另一边厢，工作人员爆料JOHN在拍摄全裸画面时，曾只用手遮着重要部位就位拍摄，John表示在拍摄进行时并没有要求清场，对此他解释是因为信任工作团队。

2014年7月29日，John满25岁的这一天，他以自己的作品，一本结合文字与照片的新书“JOHN TAN I”来向各位诚意地介绍了自己。
JOHN说：
“你好，我是John Tan。
对我而言，每一年的7月29日都是最特别的一天，因为那是我的生日。从2014年开始，7月29日将变得更有意义。因为我的第一本书《JOHN TAN I》在那一天诞生。
书里所写的是我个人运动与饮食的心得。它让我从101kg变成现在这个样子。这本书在我的演艺事业初阶诞生，它标志着我的起步，成为我人生这一个阶段最有价值的情感记忆。
希望你会喜欢“JOHN TAN I”。谢谢。”

2009: Body weight at 101kg, John started the journey to physical perfection with his “self-taught” methods. His body weight dropped to 76kg after 18 months. From there he took another 2 years to build muscles.
2012: Winner of 2012 MANHUNT Malaysia; Finalist of 2012 MANHUNT International.
2013: Graduated from USM in September, soon after that John was offered to lead role in his first stage play *PEOPLE LIKE US* performed in KLPAC. All shows were sold out.
2014 MARCH: Restage of *PEOPLE LIKE US*. All shows were again sold out.
2014 APRIL: John became the first artiste signed by LjUS Creative | LjUS Entertainment
2014 MAY: "It’s more fun in Philippines", a travelogue hosted by John *11 days 7 cities 6 return flights.
2014 JUNE: A world renowned TELCO company appointed
8 Malaysian celebrity to become the campaign ambassador
for "MAKE it POSSIBLE", a one year community service campaign.
John was lucky to be selected and was lined up with other famous Malaysian.
2014 JULY 29: Official Book Launch of "JOHN TAN I" *read as JOHN TAN First.
2014 JULY 30: Press Conference: JOHN TAN was officially announced as the first Ljus Exclusive™.
