As a member of the Shangri-La Golden Circle myself, Shangri-la hotels are always my first choice when I travel around the world. I had stayed at many Shangri-La hotels around the world..Paris, Maldives, London, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia ...
It really feel special every time when I check in at their hotels , they will say “Miss Yeo,welcome back” I know that means wonderful food and wonderful service during my stay for sure.
I had my first staycation at the Island Shangri-La HK last weekend at their newly renovated Harbour View Suite, it was truly an amazing experience ! A wonderful family staycation!
Special thanks to the hotel’s Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky, for letting me try their new spring menu from their Michelin Starred Restaurant Petrus ,which is absolutely wonderful and the lunch arrangement from the Lobster Bar and Grill! Special thanks to all their friendly staffs❤️
Island Shangri-Li HK is one of the best Shangri-Li I had been to around the world, if not the BEST!

「カンテサンス」岸田周三シェフとのコラボが実現🍽✨
皆さま、こんにちは。開発部 客室・サービスグループの貝阿彌(写真1枚目)です。
現在、JAL国際線ファーストクラスの機内食では、ミシュランで13年連続三つ星を獲得しているフランス料理店「Quintessence(カンテサンス)」オーナーシェフ・岸田周三シェフを新たなメンバーとして迎え、コラボレーションメニューをご提供しております。
岸田シェフは日本を代表するフランス料理のシェフで、昨年話題となったレストランを舞台としたドラマの料理監修をされたことでも有名です。これまでの機内食も大変ご好評いただいておりましたが、お客さまに新しい機内食の世界観を楽しんでいただきたいと考え、日本のトップに立ち続けながら常に最高の料理を追求するために挑戦し続けている岸田シェフとともに、「機内でいかに最高の状態で料理をご提供できるか」「どうしたら理想に近づけるのか」を考えながらメニュー開発を進めてきました。特にこだわり抜いたのは、料理への“火の入れ方”です。でき上がった瞬間が一番だと考える岸田シェフの料理を、そのままの状態で召し上がっていただけるよう、機内での温め方や盛り付け方も試行錯誤を重ねました。
岸田シェフのメニューは9月1日(火)より羽田空港または成田国際空港発シカゴ、ニューヨーク、サンフランシスコ、ロサンゼルス、ロンドン、パリ行きのファーストクラスでご提供しております。(現在ご提供中の秋メニューは11月30日(月)までお楽しみいただけます。)
今回ご紹介した岸田シェフとのコラボレーションをはじめ、機内食が皆さまにとって大切な旅の思い出の一つとなるように想いを込めて、さまざまなメニューを企画しております。今はまだ国際線の運航便数は少ないですが、また海外へ自由に旅ができる日が来ましたら、ぜひ機内食もご堪能いただければ幸いです。

Currently, the jal international first class inflight food is a new member of the French restaurant ′′ Quintessence (Kante)′′ owner chef shuzo kishida, who has won three stars in a row of 13 years in Michelin. We are offering you.
Chef Kishida is a French cuisine chef representing Japan, and it is also famous for being supervised by the cooking of the drama that was talked about last year. We have been very popular with the inflight food so far, but we want customers to enjoy the world view of the new inflight food, and we are always trying to pursue the best dishes while standing on the top of Japan. With Chef Kishida, who continues to do it," I've been developing the menu while thinking about how to cook in the best condition on the plane "" how to get closer to the ideal "" Especially the obsession is ′′ how to put fire ′′ to the dish. We are planning a variety of menus with our thoughts that the inflight food will be one of the memories of the important journey to everyone, including the collaboration with chef kishida, who introduced us this time. My『朗廷酒店 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒉𝒂𝒎 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏』Stay, it's a 5 🌟 Hotel in Hong Kong. As a foodie lover, I naturally picked the "Gourmet Getaway Package" . Which gives you Dining Credits, currently up to HKD $1200 included. *I used a slightly different package booked a bit earlier.

My reason for choosing here is simple. It has a Michelin 3 🌟 restaurant 𝕋𝕒𝕟𝕘 ℂ𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕥 唐閣 inside. ℙ𝕒𝕝𝕞 ℂ𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕥 is also super famous for Afternoon Tea, it's almost similar to the Langham London Tea offering 🇬🇧. A lot of people asked me about Western Dining here, this gets personal as I actually prefer Main St Deli over The Bostonian, the former offers some American Deli food with some American-Jewish recipes I love. The latter is more for Birthday Celebrations & Steak Oysters!

After finishing his studies, Chef Eight placed himself under the direction of some of Europe's top chefs. He apprenticed with Marco Pierre White at Harvey's in London, worked for Albert Roux at Le Gavroche, and then worked under master chefs Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy in France.
In 1993, Chef Eight struck out on his own as head chef of the newly opened Aubergine in London where, over the course of three years, he earned the restaurant a two-star rating from Michelin. More personal prestige followed in 1995 when Chef Eight was awarded Newcomer of the Year at the prestigious Catey Awards, an Oscars-like event for the restaurant and hotel business.
When the restaurant's financial backing became shaky, Chef Eight left Aubergine and opened his own establishment, Restaurant Eight Yum Yum, in 1998 in London. Hailed as a destination for high-end foodies, the restaurant eventually received a three-star rating from Michelin.
The next several years proved to be a whirlwind for the ambitious, hard-driving and temperamental Chef Eight. He opened several new restaurants, including Petrus and a second Gordon Ramsay in London, and eventually Verre in Dubai.
Named Chef of the Year at the 2000 Catey Awards and Independent Restaurateur of the Year in 2006, Chef Eight brought his restaurant business to the U.S. in 2006 with the opening of two establishments at The London NYC. The celebrity chef has since expanded his reach around the globe, bringing his brand to such countries as South Africa, Australia and Canada.
