This morning, as I was sitting by the bed, this one came to me, he climb onto my lap and grab me by the shoulder and he said 'I will always love you mummy'... For that moment I was stunned by his choice of words.
Even his dad also never used the word 'always' before 😜. It made me look back if we have been too pressuring on him to be the big brother who is expected to be the independent, disciplined, sensible and calm one. Thus every single time, he blasted out in his attention seeking moment, the debuting battles with his brother over toys and his emotional streaks, we would just shut him down as if he understands everything. But.. More than often, when both our emotions blinded our rationality, we cant remember that he's just another kid who needs the same love and forgiveness as his brother, or even patience to his growing emotional needs.
He would often come to me and say he loves me, and gives me a hug whenever I gave him eye contact. And many times he is the one who loves giving kisses to his brother. All that passion burning inside him I wonder if we can properly make him learn how to be a better him..
Pretty sure, someday he will meet someone who will know his worth.. #mothersthoughts
