It’s ok to eat a salad more like the left if it’s a side dish but you might want to eat a salad more like the right if it’s a main dish.

Start by adding 2-3 cups of greens. Next add 1 cup of your favorite non-starchy vegetables. Examples of non-starchy vegetables would be tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and so on.
