{CNY Giveaway} Chinese New Year, to us, is a time to gather with family and friends, to give and receive blessings as well as to rejoice and feast on yummy goodies!

This year might be a very different CNY but we are still determined to celebrate and have a good start to the 牛 year. It might be tough to go shopping for CNY goodies this time round and probably easier to order them online, so we are thankful to have received these snacks from Pineapple Tart SG.

We tried out their award-winning pineapple tarts and kueh bangkit, as well as almond ball cookies, salted egg crab stick crackers, hae bee hiam rolls, and salted egg fish skin crackers. Using 100% fresh and premium ingredients and traditional Nyonya-style baking, no artificial flavouring, sweeteners or preservatives are used in the making of these handmade goodies. Yay!

For the pineapple tarts, the pineapple paste is homemade from scratch using the sweetest pineapples from Brazil where each one is checked for quality before preparation. We love the tarts because they melt in your mouth and has the right amount of sweetness.

The kids also love the crab stick crackers which are crispy and addictive as well as the kueh bangkit which is fragrant and nice. The hubby gave his thumbs up for the hae bee hiam while I think the almond cookies are absolutely delightful. Woohoo! We are definitely getting into the CNY mood already.

Dry Mee Siam is Makko Teck Neo’s signature. This dish is full of flavour – you can taste lemongrass, sambal, Kaffir lime and many other spices in each mouthful. With a squeeze of fresh lime, the dish is even tastier. This is the house special and it’s usually sold out early. ⁣

They have different daily specials too. On the Sunday that we were there, the specials were Beef Rendang and Pork Rib Pongteh. The most memorable dish on that day was beef rendang. It was on the spicy side and definitely packed a punch. They also sell different types of nyonya kueh such as kueh dadar, ondeh ondeh, kueh salat, kueh talam, kueh lapis and blue pea dumplings!⁣
