UBC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Led by Jonathan Girard, the director of orchestras at the University of British Columbia School of Music, UBC Symphony Orchestra educates and promotes gifted young musicians. To enhance interconnections for the students and to celebrate the UBC community, UBCSO will invite current students and alumni as performers. On November 23, UBC Symphony Orchestra welcomes faculty members as soloists in Finzi’s Eclogue for Piano and Strings, Op. 10 with Terence Dawson, piano; Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings, Op. 31 with J. Patrick Raftery, voice and Valerie Whitney, horn. Also on the program is Elgar’s Variations on an Original Theme, Op. 36 “Enigma”.
If you are a UBC student, you are eligible to get Free rush tickets. Come in person and bring your student ID at the Chan Centre Ticket Office two hours before the performance.

Venue: The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

兒時在演藝學院學琴時對管弦樂團沒甚好感。因為當我的朋友週末四處玩時我卻要花整天拉拉拉！ 估不到小時候的種子發芽了，竟然主動參加了這個樂團。希望各位有空前來支持，做下善事，福有油雞。

The upcoming Children's Cancer Foundation Orchestral Concert, with the theme "Heroes Among Us", celebrates the heroes who have fought against cancer, but also encourage the ones who are still fighting with this disease.

The Hong Kong Amateur Orchestra will be performing Beethoven's Third Symphony "Hero" and a series of heroic theme songs, including The Avengers, Ultraman, Batman, Sailor Moon, Wonder Woman, etc. There will be guest singers J Arie and Andy Leung, a children's cancer rehabilitation patient's piano performance, Salesian School Choir and Centre Stage students will also be performing together.

Date: February 9, 2019, (Saturday)
Venue: Concert Hall, Hong Kong City Hall
Time: 8-10PM
Ticket price: $280 / 180 / 80 (20% discount for students/seniors)

即將舉行的兒童癌病基金管弦音樂會，主題為：『與英雄同樂』，寓意癌病兒童身邊有很多英雄結伴抵抗病魔。

香港業餘管弦樂團將會演奏貝多芬第三交響曲《英雄》及一系列以英雄電影主題曲配樂，包括:覆仇者聯盟 、超人主題曲、蝙蝠俠、美少女戰士、神奇女俠等等，還有嘉賓歌手 J Arie 和 梁釗峰 、兒童癌病康復者林澤耀鋼琴演奏、慈幼學校合唱團 及 匯中音樂學院的學生將會一同演出。
