Breathing exercise and ice bath with the Wim Hof masters in Bangnasty! Although i only lasted 30 seconds 🥴🥶

But what is “Breathing exercise” and why?
🧘♂️ 🌬
.
.
It is similar to Tummo (inner heat) Meditation and Pranayama (yogic breathing). The exercises are focused on 60 deep and rhythmic inhalations and exhalations, described by Wim as ‘controlled hyperventilation or power breathing’ and are followed by a retention time, where you hold your breath for 2 minutes. By practicing the breathing exercises, you are releasing more energy, influencing your nervous system and changing various physiological responses. You are inducing voluntarily a short stress response which ultimately will lead to more resilience towards everyday stress, mentally and physiology and feeling more in control.

And why ice bath? ❄️🌊
.
.
It is common for professional athletes to jump into a tub of ice water after an intense race or game. This is because Ice baths have a number of potential benefits for physical recovery, and it increases parasympathetic activity. Ice bath helps to flush metabolic waste from your body, while also getting oxygen and nutrients to your muscles and lower inflammation after intense physical exercise. Exposing your body to cold conditions on a regular basis can make you more resilient to stress. As your body adjusts to the cold, the vagus nerve is stimulated, which is connected to many important organs by means of the parasympathetic nervous system. The resulting increase in parasympathetic activity has positive effects on all kinds of conditions such as anxiety, depression, and gut problems. Cold temperatures also stimulate the activation of brown fat tissue throughout your body. Brown fat helps your body to generate heat as it burns off white fat. Therefore, taking regular ice baths helps prevent the accumulation of excess body weight!!

You can try this at home by following this breathing exercise 👉🏻 https://youtu.be/Rhmcf0aqIqM then get a tub and fill it with water and ice then get in for minimum of 3 mins for the best result 🤙🏻 @ Ice land

[Parasympathetic Nervous System 副交感神經系統]
.
Parasympathetic Nervous System is a division of our autonomic nervous system that soothes, relaxes, restores and heals our body. It boosts our immune system and we feel more empathetic and loving, too.
.
While the Coronavirus has stirred up some panic from all the news and media we hear and read, that causes our “fight or flight” Sympathetic Nervous System to constantly kicking in our stress hormones which can drain us, and decreases our immunity.
.
Positive touch and empathetic connection are 2 of the most powerful healing tools that we can use and they are so accessible.
.
Hug, embrace, hold someone dear to you for at least a few minutes, to help turn your parasympathetic nervous system on. Be grateful for the connection that you feel and give that healing energy back to the one that you hold. Give and receive.
.
Let’s embrace each other more. All you need is your two arms and a grateful mind.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 are wonderfully designed machines with natural self-healing abilities. Of course, things inevitably go off-course from time to time and when they do, the door opens for disease in all forms to manifest.
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲? Because, our so called “𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏”originating amygdala confusingly sees our everyday relationship issues, financial worries, and career stress the same as if we were still cavemen being chased by a lion.
Our easily-terrified 𝒂𝒎𝒚𝒈𝒅𝒂𝒍𝒂 quickly and easily shifts into overdrive, initiating a cascade of nasty stress chemicals, effectively preventing our body from being able to do what it does best: keep us healthy. It should come as no surprise that we live in a society so full of mental, emotional, and physical unwellness.
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝. Luckily there is a very powerful, highly effective solution to keeping our so called “lizard brain” amygdala cool and calm while allowing our parasympathetic nervous system optimal functioning. This tool is 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Scientifically proven over hundreds of studies to quiet down and deactivate the stressful parts of the brain, while nourishing our bodies with the magic nervous system soothing elixir, meditation is the very best technique for proper mind body self healing.
