We are thrilled to announce a new event series with Fotografiska New York, beginning September 26th in partnership with the renowned museum and destination for the world’s best photography. Founded in 2010, Fotografiska was built on the foundation of photography as a haven for inclusivity and free expression, celebrating leading photographers of today through experiential workshops.

Over the coming year, Fotografiska and Leica will co-host monthly Leica Akademie Workshops at Fotografiska New York instilling the fun and enjoyment of photography, expanding photographic knowledge, and bringing the total Leica experience to photographers of all skill levels.

【生猛台灣-生活與生存】Vigorous Taiwan-Life and Survival預告

主角之一是街拍攝影師張鈺，他的拍攝方式很直接，平時最常去萬華拍照，喜歡用黑白底片捕捉他所關注的人事物，曾經因為拍照拍到跟兄弟變成好朋友，也曾經因為拍照被兄弟請到辦公室，而除了拍照之外，他還有著另外一個很獨特的身份.........

在台灣，很多的攝影創作者他們的日常有著不同的身份，這些人各自在生活上努力著，在創作不能當飯吃的現實下，過著斜槓人生，持續著對於影像創作的熱情，拍攝屬於自身的、台灣的影像藝術。

In Taiwan, many photographers hold a second job. These people eke out a living as career jugglers (a.k.a. slashies), so they can continue to create their photographic works that portray Taiwan via their cameras and lens of perspectives.

The Mei Ho House has a deep and important history in Hong Kong. The Shek Kip Mei fire in 1953 left thousands homeless. According to ArtInfo, the property was one of the first resettlement estates built for those displaced, and it also included a shopping center and schools. During WWII, mainland immigrants also moved to the site. The Chinese government has spent the last two years restoring four units in the building to create a heritage museum with over 1200 pieces of furniture and other artifacts from the building's 60 year history.An amazing network has been formed for the museum which includes 166 former residents who give guided tours and share their memories of the space.

In addition to the museum, 129 rooms of the Mei Ho House has been turned into the YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel. The entire revitalization process is very unique. Most large cities or countries around the world would demolish old buildings or convert them into condos, using the heritage of the space as a selling point.

Every Tuesday to Sunday 9:30 to 5:00 pm (including public holidays), Monday off.

Perhaps some people may reckon that Photo Magazine is mostly about photographic equipments and photography skills, it is actually just part of our works. We also attach great importance to the culture and art of photography. In this video, over 100 selected articles from our work over the past four years are demonstrated. They involve over 140 photographers all around the world. Photo Magazine hopes to be involved with many of you in the future.
