Subdivision 的延伸與應用
前陣子剛推出 #黃子瑜鼓教室『爵士鼓職人12週養成計畫』的線上課程，內容主要是幫助大家培養與建立 Subdivision 的體感與概念。Subdvision 跟律動這兩個字在很多人玩團的過程可能是個比較陌生的詞彙，但卻是在音樂當中不可或缺的元素，真正理解並能夠駕馭 Subdivision 的人更是少之又少。這次因緣際會回到台中微光好課空間，希望能跟大家分享與推廣 Subdivision 與律動的重要性，也藉此機會回饋給過去這一兩年支持 #黃子瑜鼓教室的各位，感謝大家在還不知道我要做什麼的時候就給了我實質上的支援。

大師班內容會跟大家分析 Subdivision 的重要性，以及他如何能夠在你面對各種不同風格的歌曲時，幫助到你。我會藉由跟大家分析一些我遇過的一些經典曲子，來讓大家體會並感受到 Subdivision 的重要性。當然，最後也會留 Ｑ＆Ａ 的時間給大家發問。
簡單講，Subdivision 是音樂的一大根基，早點擁有這樣的觀念，絕對能夠在接下來音樂生涯中幫助到你。

這首曲子是由 Don Redman 在1929年時所創作的，算是一首年代比較久遠的歌曲。旋律本身帶有非常濃厚的藍調風味，再加上 12/8 律動的感覺，讓曲子韻味十足，是我個人最喜愛的曲子之一。值得一提的是，這首歌曲雖然聽起來非常藍調，但是它的曲式與和弦進行卻跟一般的藍調歌曲有相當大的差異。它的曲式是屬於爵士經典曲常見的 AABA 形式。Ａ段雖然跟一般的藍調歌曲一樣充滿了屬七和弦，但不是藍調 I、IV、V 的排列，而是偏向爵士的五度圈形式排列。Ｂ段的部分就更爵士化了，基本上都是 II-V-I 進行。由於上述原因，在這首歌曲上做即興演奏就會變得很有趣，因為演奏者可以隨興穿梭於藍調的樂句(使用歌曲調性的藍調音階)與爵士的樂句(描繪當下的和弦進行聲響)之間，讓即興旋律的聲響變化更為豐富。
