昨天晚上騎著摩托車,等著紅綠燈跟月亮對望的時候,心裡冒出了"靜靜的滿月"這一句話. 讓我想到以後每年就趁中秋節來更新一下 【那些大人讀了比孩子感受更深的繪本】 好了.

閱讀英文繪本不只增加我們(不管是孩子還是大人)對英文學習的興趣,它也常深刻了我們對人生總總的經驗和感受. 人生是場單程車票的旅行,沿途的風景錯過就不再,所以我們都要抱著感恩和珍惜的心,用 心 感受周遭的一切,用 心 過生活. 願有天回首來時路時,我們都可以跟自己說: "這輩子我真的不虛此行,不枉此生."

【離開美國後，我將英文在台灣學得更好】

很多人（包括朋友) 問我，離開美國後，我要怎樣讓英文繼續保持？

這個問題背後假設其實有點問題，把待台灣跟英文會退步劃上了等號。但，只要 #用對學習方法，在台灣當然也可以讓英文持續進步。沒有聽過待在加州、溫哥華的人常常回來粵語、台語進步比較多的笑話嗎？😂

前往 UPenn 念書的前同事 (口譯背景) 到了美國生活一段時間後就說：「 出國留學不等於英語好。如果沒有刻意學習，留學生的英語不會有質的進步。憑藉有效的方式，一輩子住台灣也能學好英語。 」

I second that. (我完全同意)

讓我英文在台灣持續進步的眾多方法中，閱讀描述很多「故事、經歷、感覺」的書，是非常有效的。#自傳 就算是其中一大類，因為那樣的內容比較口語，跟我們平常要講英文、寫英文時用的英文是最像的。

✔︎ 近期有兩本書我特別推薦：
1️⃣ The Ride of A Lifetime —Robert Iger (Walt Disney 前CEO自傳)
2️⃣ No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention

✔︎ 例 1: 在兩本書當中，都出現了不少次 "That got me thinking.” 這樣的魔王道地句。魔王道地句的定義就是「沒什麼難字，但台灣人就是很難用得出來的道地用法。」也許你在 TED Talk 中也聽過，但就是想不到要用它？

✔︎ 例 2: Iger 在講述很難去合理化花大錢去買 Pixar 時，他說了”There was no way we could justify spending that kind of money to…” 這邊的道地 #慣用句頭 There is no way S. can… 用來表達某一件事情的可能性很低、很困難，

🔥 這是個可以跳脫 easy, difficult 的思維的方法。

✔︎ 例 3:
我們中文很常說的「～很棒的一點就是」，對應到英文就是 Iger 很常用 The beauty of sth is… 這樣的 #慣用句頭。

在 Masterclass 裡他說了，”The beauty of Disney is a lot of the stories that we tell are evergreen in nature.”

這些都是可以輕輕鬆鬆從書中學習、「汲取」，讓我們在口說、寫作中用出來的「道地表達方式」。你不需要住在美國住了 10年，
就可以學得到。
