Gifted for a Time Like This
Today, the Jews celebrate Purim. One of the main characters in the story behind Purim is called Esther. She was a beautiful Jewish woman who became queen at the time; she was used mightily by God to rescue the Jews from total extermination.
Her original name in Hebrew was Hadassah which means “myrtle” (a star-shaped flower). Her name as queen was Esther, meaning “star”.
God took a humble star from the ground and elevated her to shine brightly in the sky. He gifted her with beauty and influence with the king for a purpose.
“For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”” (Esther 4:14 WEB)
Just like Esther, you entered God’s kingdom for such a time as this. Your birth in this generation was no coincidence.
I’m telling you that God has a plan for your life. The Holy Spirit distributed gifts and anointings as He chooses; you have received a unique measure of them.
God’s heart is always “relief and deliverance” for His covenant people. He does things mainly for His elect ones who will receive salvation. Many times, He co-labors with believers through their prayers and obedience of faith.
You are gifted in certain things for a purpose. These gifts are meant to be used to bring profit to God’s kingdom.
Perhaps you have heard/read Jesus’ parable of the talents. It is about the stewardship of gifts that we receive from the Lord.
““Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them. He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents besides them.’ “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” (Matthew 25:19-21 WEB)
One day, Jesus will settle accounts with us—not to punish us who are believers, but to reward us based on how we used the gifts He deposited inside us.
Whatever gifts you have received, you are meant to produce good results by using them. The Lord won’t expect you to produce more results than you have the grace for. Five talents result in five more, two talents result in two more, and both the first and second servants in the parable received the same words of praise.
What is it that you have been gifted with? Be like an Esther who fulfilled her calling. She chose to be brave and obey the God-inspired instructions of Mordecai, even if it meant the risk of death.
One day you will see Jesus’ smiling face as He sits on His throne of glory, as He says to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Find out what “few things” you have been entrusted with, and what are the “many things” that Jesus could set you over soon: http://bit.ly/sandcastlesdontlastforever

Gaji RM 2,000 tapi hidup gembira macam gaji RM10,000.
Nampak macam tak logik. Tapi ya, ini real. Dulu, saya teringin sangat nak gaji RM 5,000.
Kita target gaji RM 10,000 pula.
Bila Allah beri pendapatan RM 10, 000, sekali lagi kita rasa makin tak cukup. Kita naikkan lagi gaji sampai RM 20,000.
Lama kelamaan, kita rasa makin tak cukup. Kemudian saya ditegur oleh guru saya;
Ada salah seorang pasukan saya tanya;
Saya kata pada dia sambil berseloroh;
"Kamu nak jadi macam saya tak? Apa kata kamu ganti tempat saya. Berdiri straight 8 pagi - 5 petang selama 4 hari plus tido cuma 2-3jam sahaja sehari. Nak cuba?"
Saya pegang kemas teguran guru saya tadi.
Sungguh- sungguh dia buat. Tak berkira. Siang malam bekerja walaupun gaji dia hanya RM 2,000.
Walaupun gaji RM 2,000, dia punya bahagia kalah orang yang gaji RM 10,000. Allah mudahkan urusan dia.

Salary of RM 2,000 but live happily like RM10, 000.
Looks illogical. But yes this is real. In the past, I really want to pay RM 5,000. In my heart, if you get a salary like that, it will be fun.
When Allah permission to feel RM 5,000 income, we start to feel not enough. We want higher salary. We are targeting a salary of RM 10,000
When Allah gives income of RM 10, 000, once again we feel that it's not enough. We will raise our salary to RM 20,000.
Long time ago, we feel that it's not enough. Then I was reprimanded by my teacher;
′′ It's not the value of ringgit that makes us feel enough but the blessing in every penny we get. That determines the sufficientness of our lives."
There is one of my teams asking;
′′ It's fun to be like Mr. Basit, big salary, can go everywhere."
I told him while having fun;
′′ Do you want to be like me? Why don't you replace my place. Stand straight 8 am-5 pm for 4 days plus sleep only 2-3 hours a day. Want to try?"
I held my teacher's reprimand just now. It's not the value of ringgit that becomes the measure of sufficient provisions.
There's only RM 2,000 salary, but he works like his salary is RM 10,000. He really does. Not calculative. Day night working even though his salary is only RM 2,000.
Even though it's a salary of RM 2,000, he's happy to lose the salary of RM 10,000. Allah will make his business easier. Allah protects him from disaster and hardship.
There is a salary of RM1, 10,000 but in working affairs never be honest. Culas in running a trust. Love stealing bones. Shopping like tomorrow is gone.
Allah test him. Car broke down. Superbike accident. Investment loss. Fighting with family and all sorts.
This is real. I speak in experience capacity. I do business from the streets. I'm not born-born continue to inherit family wealth.
In the past one of my eggs can be fried and part four. One day eat one slice. Settle menu for four days of eating.
I remember what it felt like to have no money. I also remember what it feels like to have millions in accounts.
From as small as to as big as my ego has ever defended. From the thin and thick as the walls feel great and know I've hit it.
′′ Not a lot of money becomes a measure, but a blessing becomes a backup ′′
Blessings that are blessed means, there is few enough. There's a lot to share with others. Our faith in sustenance is not divided.
We don't worry about the money in the account is not enough. What we worry about is the provisions that can be without blessings in it.
If we want to feel always enough and blessed in life, make sure we don't ignore these things.
1. Trust and Allah's greetings.
2. Trust the welfare of wife and child.
3. Trust the welfare of parents.
4. Trust the welfare of siblings.
5. Trust of worker's welfare
′′ Our level of life is determined by what we KNOW and that we TAKE ′′

// "Until now we haven't understood where the missing microplastics in the ocean end up and how they are transported," Mike Clare of the National Oceanography Centre told Newsweek. "We know that there are concentrations of plastic on the ocean's surface, but this accounts for less than one percent of the plastic that makes it into the ocean."
He added: "Until now, the rest has been assumed to settle slowly out, like rain or snow in the deep sea. We found instead that currents in the deep sea act like conveyor belts—moving plastic around, locally creating hotspots on the seafloor."
The great bulk of microplastics building up in these hotspots are fibers found in clothing and larger pieces of plastic waste.
"Very little can be done to deal with these hotspots as they are—a deep seafloor clean up is not a viable option for a number of reasons," said Clare.
"Therefore the solution needs to start at the source. We need to limit the pathways that get plastics to the ocean, switch to more sustainable materials where possible, and keep to the mantra of reduce, re-use, recycle."
