預測大市升跌意義何在？

近年市場有一個現象，越來越多「專家」和「權威」們對市場作出「語不驚人誓不休」的言論，而通常要做到一語驚人的效果，這些言論都要做到像先知預言一樣。一般而言，這類預言只有兩個方向，不是「爆升」就是「爆煲」，但升跌其實都不重要，關鍵是個「爆」字，這是傳媒最喜歡的字眼，難得有專家主動發起使用，傳媒當然歡迎之至，大唱特唱，與發起人互有默契的配合，吸引大眾小市民的眼球。

一個預言要爆得起，單是「爆」的結論和標題還是不足夠，要配以長篇大論的推論和解釋。但是，精明的讀者只要細心看一下這些論點，就會發現都是些老生常談的論點，或者是市場早已預期或消化的因素，不能說論點不正確，但實在難以支撐其「爆炸性」的結論。最後，再加入一些大膽的假設，一個完美的「爆X論」便完成了。言論能夠爆得起，除了媒體的推波助瀾，其實最主要還是說中了讀者心目中想要的結論。正如，持有物業的業主們當然希望「爆升」，未上車的希望早日「爆煲」，這都是人之常情。說到底，大眾往往都是希望聽到自己想聽到的聲音，而並非真正對自己有用的資訊。因此，這些資訊只需包裝得「看似」有道理，大家也就很自然地不經思考的點頭認同，然後即時轉發予身邊的親朋好友，以支持和解釋自己一直以來的決定和觀點。相信大家都有收到這些轉發的經驗。很多時候，親朋好友面對面難以啟齒，難得有人幫忙發聲，當然連忙轉發，可以理解。

正如著名美國經濟學家約翰‧喬拔(John Kenneth Galbrait)曾說：「市場的專家們，常常作出各種預測，絕非因為他們知道，而是因為有人想聽。」

傳媒的目的相信大家都明白，但言論發起人背後的目的則有多個可能性，有人可能為了賺取名氣，但更多的可能只是為了過癮，證明一下自己對市場的影響力。然而，具影響力的人其實更應該盡量避免使用偏激的言詞，言論內容的重點應避免過度側重於方向性的預測，以理性、實在的推論為主可能來得更實際，結論應留待看倌運用獨立思維自行作出判斷。一篇文章預測股價、樓價、指數準確至一個數字，其實才是最不正確，不正確是指思維上。

一篇文章最有價值的並不是其結論，而是推論。正如我們投資，最關注的並不是「價格」，而是「價值」，有價值的東西，作為投資者，我們更希望它現在的價格低於其價值，我們才有機會以折讓價買入，因為我們知道有價值的東西，其價格最終會回歸其應有的價值。因此，預測價格和指數的升跌又有何意義？真正有意義的是投資行為背後的rationale。重點千萬不要被吸引的標題所奪去。只要文章有值得參考的數據和看法，責任其實不在作者，同一篇文章，不同的讀者所能吸收到的資訊往往都不同。

市場的升跌其實就如鐘擺原理，動態的市場就是擺動中的鐘錘，大部份時間不是在左邊就是右邊，只有靜止的時間才會變得垂直，停在中間的位置。在沒有外力的情況下，不論鐘錘多大的幅度左右擺動，最終都會回歸垂直的靜止狀態。這個所謂的靜止狀態就是經濟學上的「均衡」(equilibrium)。經濟學認為市場只有在長期(long run)的情況下才是「最有效率」，即永遠處於均衡；而在短期(short run)的情況下，市場不會經常處於均衡狀態，但這不代表市場失效(market inefficiency)，市場只是需要時間，朝著均衡的方向作出調整。這意味著市場大部份的時間都是處於「錯價」的狀態，不是「超買」便是「超賣」，這也意味著市場永遠都有盈利的機會。

對沖基金的投資策略之所以不論在升或跌市都能盈利，是因為對沖基金的投資策略是買入「好資產」同時沽空「劣資產」，升市時「好資產」升得較多，跌市時「劣資產」跌得較深，市場風險因而能夠被對沖，因此對沖基金理論上在升跌市都能盈利，講求的是絕對回報。

然而，我們不是對沖基金，不能主動做短倉(short position)，只能買進「好資產」，但最重要的是我們都沒有水晶球，任何一個人都不可能準確預測大市，更不可能預測何時是頂，何時是底。全數沽出資產套現等待大跌市的來臨才大舉入市，這想法很理想，但是非理性。世上沒有真正的預言家，持現金等待可能賺，可能虧，世事難料，但有一樣可以肯定的就是輸了時間值。作為理性的投資者，我們不應去賭博我們不知道的事情，等待也就是一種以投資回報作賭注的賭博，時間一長，同樣也會泥足深陷。

穩健的投資策略，不論升市或跌升，資產配置和資本運作總要持續，我們只會因應市況作出適當的調整，但永遠不會停下來，時間永遠是我們的朋友。這就是「現金為王」(Cash is King) 與「現金流為王」(Cash Flow is King) 的最大分別。

Before the sun could fully crack through the scattered clouds that Friday morning in Hong Kong last July 21st, Jurgen Klopp’s phone screen was crowded with notifications from sporting director, Michael Edwards, and Fenway Sports Group president, Mike Gordon.

人生在世要有遠見，人身離世更要有遠見啊！有些人找吾為其批八字，得知其父母在某歲會有大關，立馬淚流滿面。其實啊！妳你若有遠見，根本就不必如此，也不必聽到「西洋樂隊」奏起音樂時痛哭流淚。哈哈哈！父母在世時，就應盡孝，且要知曉她他們是否有任何遺願待了。若有的話， 儘量一一為她他們完成，好讓他她們得以早日安息，冥陽兩利。

My Dad is a very capable father. He was the sole breadwinner for our family of 9 children. In addition to working overtime, he rendered medical and Chinese Metaphysics services in his spare time for extra income. I also noticed that he got very little sleep. Our Founding Father, the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, also contributed his life for our nation. My Buddha Father, Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, would not spare a thought for His own life for the salvation of all sentient beings.

He has to endure huge amount of stress and humiliation and that is nobility for his family's sake. To be able to direct both your mental and physical energy for the betterment of the country or all sentient beings, and expand the love you have for your family into an all encompassing one for all, that is the exalted hallmark of a noble father.

Have you ever experienced failure before? Please do not be embarrassed as I would say almost everyone has failed before. The difference lies in the reasons for their failures. Though they may all sound different, they would not be too far off from these two: lack of foresight and lack of luck. Let us survey the successful people in this world and it is not hard to discover that these people possess foresight. Of course, without abundance of good fortune, the days of success would not come so soon too.

On the contrary, we look at the people who had failed and would also discover the main reasons of their downfall in their short-sightedness and a run of bad luck. Living in this world, we must look farther ahead, without which is akin to being a "sitting duck" waiting to be hit. It is no different from committing suicide. Please think about this deeply, why do wars occur? It is due to a lack of foresight between nations. You must know that a nation will only prosper if her state affairs are administered well, not by going to war with one another. Why do families fall apart? Why do your health deteriorate? Why is your rice bucket never full? Why do your business fail to make profit?

Both the living and the dead need foresight!
