As you know, last week, Britain was hit by two storms, Storm Emma and the Beast from the East. There was lots of thick snow and temperatures as low as -7ºC (that’s just Birmingham, it was much worse in other parts of the country)! Because of this, there was a blanket closure for all schools across the UK. I was on the verge of tears when I heard the news; school is something I live for! Today, though, the weather improved! Most of the snow cleared and the hope of spring shone! So school was back to normal - lucky for me! 🤩

It wasn’t only me that was missing school. Fatimah and Ali couldn’t wait to go back today! They both woke up really early and had their favourite ‘roti keras’ (toast) for breakfast then went to school all excited! As soon as Ali came back from school, he requested Mr Dad to record a video of him! He sat down and told Mr Dad that he had a story to share about the first day back to school after snow day. And of course, a video can’t be complete without a little line to tease his favourite person, Mamajee! His randomness never fails to please! 😁
