Happy Belated World Photography Day!

At the beginning, I thought to dedicate my todays’s caption to all of your takes on photography. However, nobody but one person share his view. Thank you @official_mnaa . I would really appreaciate if you share it here too.

So tell me peeps what does your #photography📷 mean to you? I am curious to know. 😍

To me photography is like an escape. It’s a way of capturing a moment that becomes a memory to cherish for later. It’s a window for me to look into the world in my way. I am an amateur. I click based on instinct rather than by calculating. The world I have created through my photography is warm, mellow, colourful. If one day, everything becomes black and white, I would sure paint it back through my photography. ❤️

Let me share some interesting facts on Brooklyn Bridge-

1. It’s the first steel-wire suspension bridge in the world.

2. Even though it is the brainchild of engineer John Augustus Roebling, however, he could not live to see it completed. While making measurements for the future bridge in 1869, a ferry crushed Roebling’s foot. He developed tetanus because of the accident and eventually passed away. Then his son, Washington Augustus Roebling stepped in as the bridge project’s chief engineer. However, he came down with the decompression sickness and was confined to bed. Finally, this project was completed under the supervision of his wife Emily Warren Roebling. Seems like this family had to pay some price to make sure this bridge happen!

3. Beside Emily Warren, a rooster is the first being who made trip across this bridge. Lucky fella!

4. To show the sturdiness of the bridge, the city called upon showman P.T. Barnum to march 21 elephants across the Brooklyn Bridge. It must have been quite a show!

5. The bridge has gone by several names before it became Brooklyn Bridge. Such as, “Great East River Bridge, or “New York City & Brooklyn Bridge”, etc..

“After A Long Hiatus”
Olaaa Amigosssssssss 🙋‍♀️❤️

I hope you all are doing well wherever you are now. Have you gone for any trip yet, or planned any?

Today I literally pushed myself to post something. I think this is the longest break I have taken since I started using Instagram seriously. It wasn’t planned at all. I never thought my one week break would end up for a long three months hiatus. I don’t regret it but I guess I am becoming too used to with this break thingy. So this is my attempt for a come back. I missed all of your posts and stories! I will try to be more regular.

Lot of things happened during this 3.5 months. Then again sometimes it felt like everything just paused for a while. At the end of June, I was tested Covid positive. Even after taking all the precautions, I got it. Those who haven’t experienced it yet, trust me, complete isolation is not a fun thing at all. So please take as much precautions as you can, and don’t start believing that we are over it. I did not experience any severe complicity, but Covid leaves its marks in one or other way. Those who are not infected yet, I hope and pray you never experience it. Those who are fighting with it, I pray from the bottom of my heart that you recover soon. ❤️

Wish me luck so that I don’t go for any further break! 😝🤣
