In recent years, Berlin has become a hot spot for urban gardening. Known as schrebergarten, or allotment gardens, city dwellers grow their own crops in community gardens to promote sustainability. This morning, I met up with Claudia & Arne who blogs at foodviewberlin.com (it's written in English, by the way) and they have kindly let me into their friend's schrebergarten to get a feel of their how they style and photograph the food for their blog. They bought some ingredients from the market, picked some apples from the garden and prepared breakfast in a jar filled with quinoa and banana cream, served with homemade green smoothie. Such a cooling weather to sit in the garden to enjoy our simple vegan breakfast as we listen to the rooster calling and smell the light apple aroma in the air. This concludes my trip to Berlin. It has been too short, but I am happy that I made many friends. I hope I have more time to explore the city when I go back in the future, but for now, I need to go home to prepare for my big day. See you next time, Berlin! ♥️
