So I decided to lift a paintbrush again. It started off when I was in Ikea. I saw a lighthouse painting and I was close to getting it until I realised that I could also paint my own paintings. I don’t know how long this painting phase will last. You guys know I am notorious for jumping into something and being super passionate and then completely abandoning it. However, when it comes to painting I always come back... like as if I’m returning home ☺️. I have always been an acrylic painter. I don’t know why but I’ve been drawn to watercolour. As somebody will zero patience, this medium has challenged me indeed. It’s taught me to take my time and enjoy the moment. This watercolour splash piece is inspired by an artist named Svetlana Wittman. Instead, I have it my twist and used pastel colours. I can’t explain how much peace I feel within each time I lift a paintbrush. So I’m challenging myself to do a watercolour piece everyday for the next five days.
