Ever heard of Kuih Keria? I just found out it's a big thing in Melaka recently. There are quite a number of food stalls that sell kuih keria in Melaka and all of them have their own unique recipe to prepare these sweet potato based donuts.
The glaze used can be Gula Melaka or honey which gives them the sweetness and main flavor. Try it and I bet you will like it just like we did.

Kuih Keria adalah sejenis kuih berbentuk donut yang diperbuat daripada ubi keledek dan biasanya disalut dengan Gula Melaka.
Ia disukai ramai termasuk penduduk Melaka dan pelancong. Walaupun kena beratur untuk beli semasa musim cuti and hujung minggu, anda akan mengetahui sebab-sebabnya selepas menonton video pembuatan kuih keria ini.

Ingredients: makes 6 small donuts
for the donuts
180g pastry flour
60g banana
120g plant-based milk
20g oil
1 tsp baking powder
2g cinnamon
for the icing :
100g powdered sugar
18g plant-based milk
Blue Majik
activated charcoal
purple sweet potato powder
Instructions:
1. mix all the ingredients for the donut in a bowl and mix until combined.
2. put the dough mixture into a piping bag. squeeze on a donut tin.
3. bake at 180C/356F for 15 minutes.
4. put powdered sugar in a bowl and add plant-based milk little by little. stir until well combined.
5. divide the icing and add coloring.
6. drizzle the colored icing on white icing and dip donut.
7. place the donut on a mesh tray and let it cool until it dries out(usually take 2 - 12 hours)
8. Enjoy!

「材料」 ドーナツ 6個分
ドーナツ生地:
薄力粉 180g
バナナ 60g
プランドベースドミルク 120g
オイル 20g
ベーキングパウダー 小さじ1
シナモン 2g
アイシング:
粉糖 100g
プラントベースドミルク 18g
Blue Majik 適量
ココナッツ活性炭 適量
紫芋パウダー 適量
「作り方」
1、ドーナツ生地の材料を全て混ぜ合わせる。
2、絞り袋に入れて、ドーナツ型に絞り出す。
3、180℃で15分ほど焼く。
4、粉糖にプラントベースドミルクを少しずつ加えて混ぜ合わせる。
5、いくつかに取り分け、着色成分を加える。
6、それぞれの色のアイシングを表面に垂らし、ドーナツをつける。
7、金網などに載せて乾燥させる。(2〜12時間ほどかかります)
8、エンジョーイ!
