We have always let the water run over Mae’s face while showering her.
She gets to train holding her breath for a quick moment, and familiarize with the feeling of water on her face.
When she first started learning to swim, she was therefore okay with having water on her face. 💦

Seeing her jump confidently into the training pool and swimming underwater with a big smile, I feel so happy. 🥰

Kids can learn a lot of skills when they are little - if a certain skill is appropriate, don’t underestimate your child’s learning potential.
Dare to let them explore and learn with safe boundaries.
