When you have zero expectations, you'll surprise yourself ! True indeed, how can the egg wrap be so soft and rice so fluffy? And best of all, wild fern is on the menu permanently (not seasonal) . I'll revisit anytime for those ferns .. 🌿🌿

Here's the funny thing about the same dish having different names despite in the same country. Up north , this is called hokkien mee and down south, the very same dish is called prawn mee. We know our hokkien mee is something else. But what fascinates me is to how the names were established, based on what factor and maybe why? Or and if it has a historical tale?

I've read and searched on the internet within what I'm capable off (ie the English medium) and I gave up at maybe the 8th or 9th page of Google results. I think I now know which is the popular hokkien mee in Penang, as well as in Klang Valley. But nothing about the origin of these names ? Maybe I should just leave it and accept the fact, with no questions asks- like soccer and football (I mean, they are the same thing aren't they? So.... Why is it called soccer in the states? Ok ok.. no more questions. I'll live with that 😌)

Back to this on at Damansara Uptown, it's crazy loaded with prawn fritters! The broth is crazy rich in umami from both the prawn and further enhancement of the ribs to achieve a good balanced of the concoction.
