-A letter to ______I made this card yesterday to my student Anna from my last job.Working as a teacher, I believed building the trust and relationship with the students and their parents is important. I talked about the reason that I quit this job before as I don’t like how the daycare centre treats the kids, always want them to finish their homework “like an robot” and want the teacher to pretend we are working in a “factory!” It is such an awful idea to treat our young generation. I was a new bird to be a teacher, but I tried to be a “different teacher” and this is the payoff that I still have such a great relationship with the student and their parents after I quit my job. There was a midnight that I chatted with jesslynnpadilla for hours about our “teacher life” haha! Im grateful that I found someone who has same thought as me! Last month when we kept Arielle home for 3 weeks, I enjoyed the bonding time I had with my daughter but at the same time, I had to make sure she did a bit of learning every day too.We completed @thejoylearners The Alphabet Club Term 3 in the first week and while waiting for Term 4, we did a recap of Letter A to L through the prerecorded online classes. As compared to worksheets where Arielle can colour, draw, glue, and stick, her attention span for videos are shorter - which is okay! We covered 2 letters, once or twice a day as the online subscription allowed us to go back to it anytime, as many times as we need. Time to time, Arielle will ask me “Shall we listen to Teacher Adeline?”@thejoylearners provides online learning where it’s curriculum focuses on the teaching of phonics and words. There are weekday learning activities for 4 weeks and online learning sessions. Each class includes a welcome song, phonics learning, storytelling activities, literacy or Math learning activities! 兩小時的瑜伽練習

About author

Carol discovered yoga at just the right time in her life. Her passion for yoga began in 2013, when she first tried yoga as a means to balance her busy schedule. So moved by yoga's ability to bring peace and tranquility to her hectic life in Hong Kong, Carol felt a calling to share the gift of yoga others in Hong Kong who may be searching for ways to find a similar balance for their mind, bodies and souls. Not only had yoga provided her a means by which she could find balance, it also provided her with a clear new direction: teaching. Carol trained under Patrick Creelman, who provided her first teacher training certificate. She has since obtained additional training credentials to become certified to teach prenatal yoga and yoga for children. Carol founded Passion Yoga in 2015, and has been teaching group and private classes full-time ever since. In her classes, Carol focuses heavily on fundamentals that form the foundation of any yoga practice. She aims to provide top-level technical instruction while still creating a fun and uplifting environment for her students. In keeping with its namesake, Carol hopes Passion Yoga will inspire her students with a passion for yoga similar to her own and allow them an opportunity to balance hectic lifestyles with the peace and tranquility of yoga.

Carol is a certificated yoga teacher in Hong Kong, also she is the co-founder and teacher at The Practice Studio
