⭐ Why is tourism important to a country?
In my opinion, tourism is the key to any country because it is lucrative. When a country attracts flocks of tourists, it can benefit from the extravagant spending of international tourists who are willing to splurge on entertainment activities and restaurants. You know, some people are willing to live on the breadline for months to set aside enough money for an overseas trip. Also, the development of global travel means that more employment opportunities are created. Local people can work as tour guides, open their own business or simply sell local cuisines to earn a living.

⭐ What are the benefits to individuals visiting another country as tourists?
As for tourists, firstly, they benefit from cultural knowledge gained during the trips. Every experience is more practical and realistic in comparison with things they read on books or on the internet. They can also have once-in-a-lifetime memories. For example, visiting Thailand was the first time I enjoyed sex shows which are deemed to be antisocial or even illegal in Vietnam. Secondly, tourists can boost their language skills if their visits are long enough.

⭐ How necessary is it for tourists to learn the language of the country they're visiting?
I think nowadays, learning the language of the country you are going to visit is no longer necessary. One day, when I was having dinner in an outlet in a supermarket, a Chinese tourist asked me about how to eat a Vietnamese cuisine. I was shocked because some online applications such as Google Translate could easily make our language barriers vanished. I mean if you are able to communicate with indigenous people in their language, so it's really fantastic. But if not, don't worry because technology has revolutionized everything, including this circumstance.

- Đối với xã hội: Giới trẻ tốn nhiều thời gian cho việc mua sắm -> không thể tham gia vào những hoạt động như học tập và làm việc -> giảm hiệu quả học tập và lao động.

‼️ MODEL ESSAY

The young today spend a large amount of leisure time in shopping centers. It is fear that this trend can bring about negative influences on the youths and the society. Personally, I strongly disagree with this view.

On the one hand, for the young generation spending too much time at the shopping malls can make them waste a great deal of money. As there are dozens of brands with various prices and design for them to choose from, they are easily tempted to buy things impulsively and misspend money on unnecessary stuff. For example, when some big brand names slash the prices, a shopaholic may purchase 10 shirts and jeans in a row and this cost her somewhere $100; however, such items often end up being left in the wardrobe. For the society, because youngsters are unlikely to participate in other activities such as their work or studying, economy may suffer due to less work being done and the youths could slack off their knowledge acquisition, making the national education standard drop significantly.

On the other hand, there are also some advantages of this trend. First, in terms of the young, spending time at the malls is considered a method of relaxation. In modern life these days, young people have to deal with lots of pressure from school or workplace, so this trend helps them enjoy their life and effectively release their stress. Second, the society also benefits from this phenomenon. The increase in the amount of consumption will promote manufacture and commerce in the fashion industry, which afterward will create more jobs and boost the economic growth.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that devoting a huge amount of time in shopping malls could lead to both negative and positive consequences to the young as well as the society.

Switzerland is located in the Western European Continent.
It's a small country of only 41,285 square kilometers.
Which area size is 13 times smaller than Thailand.
And there is no way out to sea.

Switzerland has a population of just 8.6 million, less than the estimated number of people in Bangkok, around 10 million.

But in 2019, Switzerland had GDP reaching 24 trillion baht, the world's 20th largest.
And the average income per Swiss capita is 2.7 million baht per year.

Why a small country without sea exit

And not having as many natural resources as other countries.

The answer to this story is ′′ Innovation

Do you know that the budget for research and development of Switzerland's research and development in 2020 is worth 720,000 million baht, 3 % of GDP.

By investing in this aspect, it's to develop and build new knowledge.
That will lead to innovation in future.

But we can see that Switzerland shuts down this weakness by innovating to develop countries and successfully stepping up to become one of the top countries of the world.

This story is another great example to see that
The country's research and development budget is important.
And a huge priority at this point
