“As he is Able to Afford”
““If he is poor, and can’t afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil; and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.” (Leviticus 14:21-22 WEB)
The devil’s ways are exclusive and secretive. Only a select few who are rich or powerful may gain access to his deepest mysteries. As John puts it in the Book of Revelation, “the deep things of Satan”.
God’s ways are the opposite. He desires that all benefit from His ways.
Under the Old Covenant of the Law, Israel was commanded by God to bring animals as offerings at the temple. The rich could bring bulls, the middle-income folks could bring sheep, and the poor could bring pigeons. If you couldn’t afford that, you could even bring fine flour.
God wants us to benefit from following His ways, and you have access to it, “such as he is able to afford”.
Anyone who hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ can freely receive salvation by Grace through faith.
Whoever has access to a Bible can read it and be taught by the Holy Spirit.
For partaking of the Lord’s Supper, you don’t necessarily have to use wine/grape juice and matzah bread. You can even use plain bread and water as the elements, such as you are able to afford.
For the grace of giving, you can give ten percent of your income unto the Lord as an act of thanksgiving and also sowing seeds for future harvests.
To make an anointing oil, just use whatever oil you are able to afford—it doesn’t necessarily have to be olive oil. Pray over it and set it apart as holy anointing oil with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Christians at any station of life can obey God’s word and receive the benefits. As you consistently do what you are able to afford in obedience to God’s word, you will realize that you can afford more and better things.
Even if you can’t afford the best of material things right now, God still appreciates the worship you offer from a sincere heart.
“I will get a morsel of bread so you can refresh your heart. After that you may go your way, now that you have come to your servant.” They said, “Very well, do as you have said.”” (Genesis 18:5 WEB)
When the God visited Abraham, Abraham offered Him bread. God has the best kinds of food to enjoy in Heaven, and yet He did not despise Abraham’s bread.
You may be partaking of Holy Communion with bread and water, giving only a little money as you can’t afford that much, and using the cheapest of oil as anointing oil, but these are just as powerful and beneficial for you when done sincerely in faith.
God’s word is true, and it will certainly not come back void. When you are a doer of His word, you will bear good fruits according to His promises!

#寫在半夜 #醞釀了兩個禮拜才寫的文章 #這週六會發生一件大事
其實我沒有想到我會辦讀書會,應該說,我一直覺得,我幾乎每天寫文章,每天都說了那麼多,關於我喜歡的書、想說的話,我都寫了,我為什麼還需要辦讀書會呢?
▌為什麼我要辦讀書會?
有一天我突然想到,針對我喜歡的書,我除了寫心得、放在blog、放在粉絲團、放在社團推廣外,我還有什麼可以做的事情?認識了出版社的總編姊姊們、作者們後,我覺得,#如果有一件我可以為我喜歡的書多做一件那就是幫忙賣書。
那我要如何賣書?我可以辦讀書會,一起分享我喜歡的讀,好好說一次關於這本書,然後 #讀書會每次都送一本書,我就可以同時幫作者賣書。
(如果你已經有這本書,我想妳會找到一個適合贈送的對象的。)
這是我辦讀書會的原因。
還有一個說起來比較害羞的原因是,我也想看看我的讀者,你們像是我看不到的朋友一樣,有機會,我想到實際看看你們,希望你們會跟我打聲招呼,跟我說Hi。

▌為什麼第一場讀書會是Sandy?
我與Sandy有三個第一次,確切的說,我有三個第一次獻給她。

我和Sandy的起源是我在誠品看到她的書《#2030轉職地圖》,那時候我們完全不認識,我大約一年去一次誠品,那次在誠品就買了這本書,因為,我覺得 #擁有實例的書不多,#而這本書的實例還有32則。
我記得很清楚,我看完後,實在是太喜歡了,2020/1/1,今年的第一個讀書心得,就是《2030轉職地圖》。
於是,我就搜尋她,找到了她的粉絲圖,看到了她在 共煮生活實驗室 Co-cooking Lab 限量10名的活動。

然後第一次見面,就在活動附近聊到了半夜12點之後,實在是太多可以聊的內容了,有點忘記聊了什麼,但我記得我們點了很大杯的飲料、餐點,聊到了旁邊的捷運站要關了,我們才離開。
我記得,因為很多只有獵人頭才知道的事情,我是沒有人可以說的,但是Sandy完全懂,我簡直是興奮到無法自拔。

在這段認識的時間裡面,我們發生了很多事情,成為粉絲,追蹤她,#第一次在共煮辦了兩場活動也是因為她的推薦,她像是一個姊姊,會介紹優質的活動,而且熱情、有智慧,講話好笑,玩起來很瘋狂,在她身邊十足有趣。
於是,#我的第一次讀書會獻給她。
▌這場讀書會想要說什麼?
我其實對於這場讀書會很緊張,很緊張,很緊張,因為,我想要好好介紹這本書,想要讓來的人值回票價。
既然這本書是將轉職,我們會把主題訂在 #轉職。
包含:
❶ 我會設計三個問題,#讓大家現場練習思考轉職的脈絡。
這也是我在職涯諮詢的最常遇到的情境題,我認為,多花點時間思考這題是很值得的。有時候,不是你不會,而是你還沒想到、以及沒想到可以想到。
❷ 同組的組員的彼此認識,#轉職若是有弱連結會是加分的。
這點在《突破同溫層的社群人脈學》中已被社會科學證實,我想,參加讀書會有一點,就是我想讓我的讀者們彼此認識、彼此拓展彼此的弱連結,可以說我是橋樑,我做LinkedIn的企劃是如此,我辦讀書會也是如此。
❸ 不僅僅只是讀《2030轉職地圖》,一次還同時融合其他8本。
我不想要僅僅只是讀一本書,人物類型的自傳、他傳,我今年從 #微信之父張小龍、#富蘭克林、#麥當勞創辦人可洛克、#徐志摩的前提張幼儀、#鋼鐵人馬斯克的媽媽梅伊、#矽谷阿雅、#Lazada副總許詮、#米其林兩顆星的江振誠,不重複的人物閱讀有8本書,我想要在探討轉職的時候,把我從這8個人身上學到的事情融合在一起,一起和大家分享,有時候,我們不是沒有選擇, 而是我們不知道我們還有選擇,傳記是提供更多選擇的可能性給我們。

Perfect for parties and Bento lunch box!
FYI: Tamagoyaki (dashimakitamago or atsuyakitamago) is a Japanese rolled omelet. It is often served for breakfast with white rice and miso soup. Also, it's one of the most popular dishes for bento (lunch box). My mom makes sweet tamagoyaki, but some people make salty one. The flavor differs from house to house. In addition, to make it colorful, we sometimes add fillings in it.

Mille-Feuille Tamagoyaki (Rolled Omelette)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 20min
Number of servings: 6 pieces
Necessary Equipment:
18x13cm (7x5.1inch) Tamagoyaki Nabe (rectangular omelet pan)
Ingredients:
2 bacon strips
2 sliced cheese
2 eggs
mayonnaise
1 grape tomato
cracked black pepper
olive oil
Directions:
1. Beat eggs in a bowl, season with ground pepper, and mix well.
2. Cut bacon strips and sliced cheese into halves, and make pairs.
3. Heat olive oil in a Tamagoyaki Nabe (rectangular omelet pan), pour 1/5 of egg mixture in the pan and spread over the surface. Cook until half done then place one piece of bacon and cheese on top of each other towards the end closest to you. Roll up the egg and move it to one end. Pour in another 1/5 of egg mixture and let it flow under the rolled egg also. Cook until half done and again place bacon and cheese on the egg and roll up the egg again. Repeat this until all your ingredients are gone.
4. Allow it to cool and cut it into 6 pieces. Also cut the grape tomato into 6 wedges.
5. Garnish with mayonnaise shaped to look like whipped cream and put a grape tomato wedge on top to look like a strawberry.

Many people asked me if my bacon is raw because it is pink. To answer that question, it is cooked already. Japanese bacon is sold cooked, so you can eat as is like ham ;)
