狄拉克 (1902 - 1984) 是英國理論物理學家，連費曼也稱他為天才中的天才。他把愛因斯坦的狹義相對論與薛丁格的量子波動方程結合，在今天我們稱之為狄拉克方程式 (Dirac equation)，預言了反粒子的存在。他的此名句，說穿了很多偽科學、自以為很科學其實卻是走火入魔的人不能理解的一點：大自然的定律是來自數學，而非口講含糊的描述。
傳說狄拉克不經常說話。有一次，有人問狄拉克身邊的朋友，「你是狄拉克嗎？」狄拉克的朋友說不是，但狄拉克卻沒有表明旁邊的他就是了。因為他認為那人沒有問他，所以邏輯上他無需回答。另也有傳說，費曼是世上少數幾個能夠使狄拉克以完整句子與其交流的人。狄拉克，是被天才中的魔術師費曼也稱為天才中的天才的人。
