1. Giới thiệu trung thu bằng tiếng Anh:
The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important traditional holiday in my country. Mid-Autumn festival is celebrated not only in Vietnam but also in some other parts of Asia as well, such as China, Japan or Korea. And it is often celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night.
In the past, on this day the moon was brightest and roundest which represented the family reunion or gatherings. Therefore, families and friends often came together or harvested crops for the festival.
Nowadays, Mid Autumn Festival is mainly for young children in Vietnam to enjoy the best time of the year. But not only can children celebrate this day but also adults can, adults who wish to have a chance to remind their their childhood and feel young again.
During this exciting Autumn festival, making masks and lanterns is probably one of many activities that take place. A lot of groups of young Vietnamese have created unique and trendy lanterns yet can still preserve the traditional beauty.
So this reminds me back to the time when I was a little kid and living in the countryside where I could contemplate the most oriental feature of this festival, which is the dragon dancing.
Our little alley was teeming with different teams of dragon dancers. Dragon dancers dance to every household in their village, it is like “treat or trick” in western culture, they will not stop until you give them some lucky money.
And when speaking of Mid-Autumn, we can’t help but to mention the Moon cake. The round shape of the moon cake signifies completeness and reunion of families. Making and sharing mooncake is probably one of the hallmark traditions of this festival. But nowadays, in modern time, making mooncakes has given way to the more popular custom of giving mooncakes to family members.
So I have just introduced to you guys one of the most important and fascinating festival in Vietnam and it is Mid-Autumn festival.

A 2018 study found that young adults under the age of 25 who were victimized by cyberbullying were twice as likely to commit suicide or self-harm in other ways. 😳😔 Many more statistics link depression to online bullying.
.
Our Mental health can be negatively affected by bullying and this is especially prevalent on social media. ❤️🩹
.
A few weeks ago I hosted an online talk on this topic. Little did I know I would experience it firsthand myself yesterday.
I sent a tweet out and in 280 characters my intention was to ask us all to Stop Cursing, to find a Different way to solve this whole Covid Situation together. Instead of cursing and Bashing anyone- another way perhaps. BUT I didn’t word it completely with what I wished to say- that I am worried about everyones health and well-being and feel we are not being heard.
My poorly worded rushed tweet was of course then misunderstood and became the focal target for hate words and nasty comments on Twitter. 😳 I apologized for my tweet irregardless but it continued.
Let’s all be clear for ALL our Safety: There is a VERY big difference between calling out and attacking a person with swear words, name calling and DM’s of threats.
.
I wish I would have worded my 280 characters better. My intention got lost in the characters. I have painfully learned a lesson now. To be careful and choose my words better so as to not be misunderstood again. ❤️🤲🏻
.
I have also learned something else- that people can be ruthless behind keyboards. They can be viscous, nasty and totally lack any insight into their anger whilst projecting it at you if you become a target. The more you try to reason- the more the attacking becomes crude.
.
There then is a ‘gang’ of trolls and the bullying ensues further and further…Each feeling justified and projecting their anger until you yourself may end up just like them, replying and becoming harsh too! 😩
.
That is when you leave the room- or in this case- the platform. No ones health is worth an argument, or a misunderstanding on a platform where only the Attackers Can Win because of numbers. 🧐🤨.
.
As the saying goes- The Tongue is the most dangerous weapon in the world. In our times- it is not our tongues- it is our Thumbs. 👍🏻👍🏻 💜
.
May we all treat each other with more kindness and compassion and may Allah forgive us for the pain and hurt we cause others. Aminn.

有沒有注意到,整段英文都是用「現在式(現在簡單式)」來說,
因為現在式就是用在講這種「我們都是這樣做的啊!」「通常都這樣啊!」「這就是事實」的地方。
了嗎!

英文全文:
This year, the Chinese New Year falls on Friday, February 16th, beginning the year of the Dog.
The holiday lasts for six days. Taiwanese people would grasp any opportunities to go out and travel around. I don't usually go out that much during that time, though. I just hate going to a place where it's overflowing with people and I have to wait in a line for everything. It just drives me crazy. I'd rather stay at home for a cozy and a laid-back holiday. So technically speaking, I am not a fan of the Chinese New Year Holiday.
Well, family gathering might be the only thing that I anticipate. The festival always brings families together all around the world. On the Chinese New Year's Eve, we always feast on a delicious reunion dinner, or you can call it New Year's Eve dinner.
A big part of the tradition is that the married adults will give red envelopes to children or unmarried young adults. The lucky money inside is said to bring prosperity and good fortune in the coming year, The color red symbolizes luck.
On the same day, people stay up late until midnight and watch the fireworks and light firecrackers.
The next day, we hang up spring couplets on both sides of the door in order to welcome good fortune.

Hello sunshine!
It's time for another GIRL TALK episode. Today, you guys requested to talk upon the topic of dealing with high expectations of parents. DUN DUN DUN! I can do that. Let's chill together.
Expectations can be a good thing. We all need them. Without them, we will all be slobs. However, when expectations begin to hold you back, that's when you gotta make a change for yourself. After all, YOU are the one living the life. You can fool the world. You can't fool yourself.
I know how tough it can be dealing with parents expectations. We've all been there. Today, I'm gonna share my experience and how I overcame my parents expectations.
Today, I've broken out of my shell of always trying to please my parents. As much as I love them and want to make them happy, I also realise I have my own life to live. With mutual respect, my parents understand this and have learnt to trust me on my decisions. However, it doesn't mean I don't listen to them. My parents are my friends too and I always welcome their advice. People can only guide you. Only you can truly help yourself.
You guys are young adults now and one day, you will all spread your wings. I trust you will be able to make the right choices for yourself and your future. Maybe you were like me and you realised you did things the wrong way. It's ok. It's never too late to make a change for yourself. I promise.
I hope you guys enjoyed this Girl Talk episode. Sorry it's been a while since we did one. Please let me know what topic you want me to talk about in my next episode. Enjoy the rest of your week guys!!
Love, your friend Bubz xx
