10年前，2010年收到主演的電影『R U THERE』入選了坎城一種注目單元時，除了欣喜，一方面也開始苦思出席這樣國際影人聚集、世界電影最高殿堂時，該怎麼穿才不失禮，又不過於張揚，我身為荷蘭電影的台灣主演，記得當時心中只有一個想法：我要穿台灣設計師的服裝出席。
慶幸2004年在台北藝術大學時，我能在黃建業老師執導的『櫻桃園』演出，能與當時設計此戲服裝造型的靳萍萍老師相遇，當時戲中的服裝造型，每一件都美到愛不釋手，演員們都私下討論演出完後戲服是否有機會展出。
那時靳萍萍老師的作品在我心裡留下好深刻的印象與美好回憶，於是我順著直覺、加上當時沒有人幫忙，只有自己能幫自己的時空背景下，憑著直覺、相信、和大膽，我打了個電話給萍萍老師，老師很快地請大學長羅之遠牽線，我便一個人帶著自己的履歷和當時剛從紐約回來，正創立自己品牌的Alex見面，我記得初次見面我們都有點緊張，但對挑戰躍躍欲試，我只想給予信任並想看到對方的才華，於是只對Alex說了一句：『請你盡情嘗試吧！請讓我見識！』
第二次見面，就是坎城行前的試裝、我看著工作室貼滿了他的想法、他的設計圖，五套衣服就這樣準備好在我眼前，每一件都有他的思考、設計故事，驚喜的是與我是那麼貼合，正當我在擔憂活動之間的趕場，一直提著裙尾也不是太好看，放下了又擔心傷及布料，他竟說：『就讓它拖地，不用擔心！自在、自然最重要！』內心好感動...。因為他的支持與放手，我才能完成全部的工作，荷蘭電影公司也對禮服的分寸，感到恰到好處，給予高度的讚賞和肯定。
人與人之間的相遇是緣份，要走得長遠靠的是契合，以他的家世背景，他大可橫著過，但他永遠待人謙和，傾聽、尊重對方的想法，我們在一起的氣氛就是自在、舒服。我內心真的以能夠認識他為榮。
