雖然孕婦都知道健康飲食對媽媽及胎兒有好處,但孕婦也是人,懷胎十月真的能完全戒口的孕媽媽其實沒有幾多位,每次吃着「違禁品」都有「偷吃」的快感,卻同時帶着罪疚,還是偶一為之讓自己紓緩一下懷孕壓力就好。
第一位 雪糕
雪糕在中醫理論中屬生冷食物,既損陽氣又壞脾胃,而且雪糕亦容易因儲存不當而受細菌污染,尤其軟雪糕更是含李斯特菌的高風險食物。如在炎夏時孕媽媽忍不住想偷吃雪糕,還是選擇杯裝的硬雪糕比較安全。
第二位 即食麵
眾所周知即食麵是高脂、高鈉且營養價值低的麵食,但偏偏就有一種令人難以抗拒的魅力,不要經常當正餐吃啊。
第三位 薯條、炸雞
香脆惹味的薯條、炸雞是垃圾食物的代表,這種魔鬼美食真的不宜多吃,點一份餐與另一半分享過一過口癮就好了。
第四位 珍珠奶茶
凍飲、奶茶都屬孕婦違禁品,但手搖飲品店開到成行成市真的很難忍,心癮起的話點一杯常溫.鮮奶茶.微糖.少珠,解解饞嘴又相對健康。
第五位 麻辣火鍋
「懷孕吃辣會辣到胎兒嗎?」是很多人的疑問,是否吃辣其實視乎孕媽媽的體質及腸胃能否承受,火鍋屬性熱之物,多吃易上火,記得火鍋後喝清熱茶療。

Eating and drinking healthy is important for both the mother and baby during pregnancy, and every expecting woman knows that. Yet, as humans, there are times we find it hard to resist certain temptations.
Indulging in certain unhealthy foods can make pregnant moms happy, but sometimes, they feel guilty as well. Nevertheless, it is all alright to enjoy this guilty pleasure once in a blue moon if it helps to relieve pregnancy stress.
No.1 Ice cream
According to Chinese Medicine theories, ice cream is a type of raw and cold food, and that harms the yang energy, spleen, and the stomach. Besides, contamination could happen easily if not stored properly, especially for soft serve, where bacteria can grow and infect a person with listeria. If pregnant moms wish to enjoy ice cream during this warm summer, it is best to opt for hard ice creams that are sold in cups.
No.2 Instant noodles
We all know instant noodles are high in fats, sodium, and low in nutrients, yet we just cannot resist this temptation. Nevertheless, avoid taking instant noodles as your regular meal!
No.3 French fries and fried chicken
Crispy and delicious French fries and fried chicken are the epitome of junk food. No matter how delicious they are, avoid eating them. If you insist, just order a set and share them with someone else.
No.4 Bubble milk tea
Cold beverages and milk tea are big no-no’s for pregnant moms, but since bubble milk tea stores are all over, it is hard for us to ignore them! If the craving kicks in, order a cup with fresh milk tea with less sugar, less bubbles and no ice to make it less unhealthy.
No.5 Spicy hotpot
“Can we harm the fetus by eating spicy food?” Many people wonder about this. It all depends on the pregnant moms’ body constitutions and the health of their intestines and stomachs. Hotpot could cause heat to accumulate in the body, so remember to drink a cup of herbal tea to clear the heat.

The best part of the day must be the dinner time as this is the only time you can truly enjoy the food and don’t have to rush back to work! We had a lovely time at Odelice Hong Kong , a non-pretentious French restaurant, on last Wednesday. I loved the salad, with one whole Avocado 🥑 and baked chicken breast, which was super instagrammable. I was disappointed that the Lamb Fillet Wellington was sold out. We ordered the French Black Mussels and Ribeye steak instead. I have to admit that my favourite part about these two dishes was the French fries with aïoli dipping sauce (maybe because I need something unhealthy and the dipping sauce was really good!). Our dessert, Cinnamon Apple, Sea salt caramel Crêpes, was great 🥰! I was too full when I had the dessert and I regretted having too much french fries 😂

A fitness inspiration to thousands all over the world, Aurora Lauzeral, has transformed her life from being sick to fit.
Lauzeral suffered from Anorexia and Bulimia for three years, she has since overcome those diseases and has turned her life around into a healthy, strong woman she is today.
It doesn’t matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop,” said Lauzeral. “You have to start somewhere.”
The struggles Lauzeral went through,transforming her sick, unhealthy lifestyle to competing in body-building competitions.
Lauzeral placed 5th in the Model Division of Musclemania Paris 2012, second place in Figure Division of Musclemania 2013 and second place at Bodygear Cup 2013.
The French athlete, Lauzeral, is a fitness instructor at Tiger Muay Thai, a Muay Thai enthusiast(4-0 professional record) and an aspiring MMA fighter. Lauzeral looks to have her first professional MMA fight before the end of 2014.
“I love teaching people because I can share with them my experience as a former unhealthy person and help them get into a fitter life and lifestyle,” said Lauzeral. “Being fit is not only about looking good but mostly about feeling good.”
Lauzeral’s journey is not over, it’s ever evolving.
Whatever you dream is, if you really believe in it and you think it’s right, just keep going,” said Lauzeral. “Never give up.”

Please READ this box for more info. Burgers, Hot Dogs and Fries are just some of our favourite fast foods. According to a recent article on Huffington Post, Americans eat nearly 50 billion burgers a year. And according to the survey done by The National Hot Dog & Sausage Council, they estimated that Americans consume an average of 20 billion hot dogs a year. On top of that the average American eats 29 pounds (13kg) of french fries a year.
Considering that these research and surveys are only based on Americans, as a whole, we consume a lot more burgers, hot dogs and french fries across the world. Hence, that is why the global fast food sales are projected to reach $239.7 billion this year (2014).
While I do enjoy my occasional fast foods, they never leave my body feeling good afterwards, I tend to feel really bloated. That's because fast foods are mostly high in sodium, unhealthy fat, sugar, calories and low in nutritional values. So instead of avoiding these fast foods, let's make our own healthy burger, hot dog and fries. Let's go back to the basics of these "fast" foods and use minimal ingredients with high nutritional values.
1) SWEET CHILLI VEGGIE BURGER
2) LEAN HOT DOG
3) BAKED SWEET POTATO FRIES
All these recipes can be made in bulks and stored in the freezer, just like the store bought versions. The next time you're craving for fast foods, go into the kitchen and make your own healthy "fast" foods instead. These "fast" foods are high in nutritional values and taste even better! So be good to your body. =)
