Featured here in this page-flip video (filmed "LIVE") is a hardcopy of Michael Lau's 10th Anniversary publication - launched and released in 2009. The hardcover tome is an accumulation of a decade's worth of "Michael Lau", released in conjunction with his tour in the United States (Read more here #onTOYSREVIL: https://bit.ly/3d50Jva).
Published by MINDstyle + crazysmiles, this is the first time I am showcasing the interior pages of the book, of the creator whose works I have been covering on my TOYSREVIL-blog since the dawn of the blog created in 2005 ... and as importantly, Michael Lau is also one of the main influences of my personal toylife evolving from "collecting 1/6th" to "designer art toys" (known as "Urban Vinyl" then tho), even before the event of the blog, actually. He is my legend, and his toy-art remains eternal on my pedestal of toy-dreams, IMHO.

This entire video was filmed/recorded on a iPhone6 (including still pictures), with a "Glow" visual effect added in iMovie (while editing), which resulted in a diminished sharpness and clarity of printed text on the pages ... are you folks ok with that? Would you WANT to read wheat they say - like before in previous pageflip videos? Or does the brightness of the images appeal to you more? Do let me know in the comments - so I can consider for future #pageflip videos - Thanks!

WHAT-IS: Back in the early 2000s, "Playground" was a supplement to MiLK magazine in Hong Kong, whereby the contents were primarily of the toy-scene in HK! And even my command of the Chinese language was horrible, I collected these issue religiously! All I needed to know (then) was “How Much”? “How Many?” and “When”, and of course by designed-by/made-by “WHO”!
