A couple of radio hosts I met recently were visually challenged. One of them is a talented pianist and it was an honor that he invited me to play/sing live on air. Plus we had a little scat session together too!

May you rest in peace, Mr. Frank 🙏🏼
//
Born in Switzerland, Mr. Frank went to New York at the age of 23 as an artistic refugee from what he considered to be the small-minded values of his own country. He was best known for his groundbreaking book, “The Americans,” a masterwork of black and white photographs drawn from his cross-country road trips in the mid-1950s and published in 1959.
“The Americans” challenged the presiding midcentury formula for photojournalism, defined by sharp, well-lighted, classically composed pictures, whether of the battlefront, the homespun American heartland or movie stars at leisure. Mr. Frank’s photographs — of lone individuals, teenage couples, groups at funerals and odd spoors of cultural life — were cinematic, immediate, off-kilter and grainy, like early television transmissions of the period.

Taipei Standard Charter Charity Marathon!! This is one of the best, the most loving and happiest marathons that I have run!!❤❤❤
--
I love running, and love running fun marathons all over the world. There are hundreds of road run races in Taiwan every year, but not that many of them makes me want to participate. However, after running Standard Charter Marathon this year, I vow to myself that I will run this race every year from now on.💪💪💪
Taipei Standard Charter Marathon is an AIMS qualified, international race, so you can use the record to qualify for other international races such as Boston Marathon. It is held in february, so the weather is very pleasant for running. The elevation is also not high and the route is beautiful!! It was a bit chilly this year so I wore a chicken hat to keep warm. It's the year of rooster this year so everyone was cheering for me like, "GO CHICKEN ATTACK!!" I also got loads of photos because of that... fun time!🐔🐔🐔
.
The most important thing is, this race is designed for the visually impaired runners!! Not only it is partnered with many vision associations to ensure a safe and barrier free environment, there are also reserved spots for the visually challenged runners. They will pair you up with someone who can guide you so that you can participate and challenge yourself!!! This is AWESOME!!!!😇😇😇
.
Running marathon is really an awesome experience. I always feel calmer after 15 km as I have entered another self. The sounds of my surrounding would get quieter and all I could feel and concentrate on was my every step, my every joint and every muscle. I could only concentrate on running forward one step after another. After 30 km, I would suddenly wake up, and found out that I have actually run this far. I would feel my physical limits. My legs get sore and body get heavier. This is when I feel I am alive, here and now.💪💪💪
.
Being alive, is such a wonderful thing!!!!!❤
.
I am so happy that I can still run Taipei Standard Charter Marathon when I can no longer see as well in the future!!❤❤❤
.
I will wear a dog hat next year!!!!!!!🐶🐶🐶
