木瓜煲湯生熟皆宜
木瓜既是水果,又是下廚的食材,更可藥用,從中醫角度來看,木瓜有健脾胃、幫助消化、消暑解渴的功效,未成熟的青木瓜酸甜爽脆,適合用來做涼拌菜或煲湯;煲湯尤其適合產婦飲用,因為青木瓜所含的蛋白酶比熟木瓜多,有助催乳。而熟木瓜香甜多汁,可作水果食用,或者攪拌成蓉醃肉,因為木瓜酵素能分解蛋白質,令肉質更鬆軟;用作煲湯的話可令湯水更清甜可口。
木瓜 — 性平,能健脾胃,幫助消化,消暑解渴。適合脾胃虛弱、容易胃脹不適人士服用,能紓緩食慾下降、消化不良、胃部不適、產婦乳汁不多等症狀。注意孕婦不宜食用。
食材小貼士:
黃豆性平,有健脾利濕功效,有助紓緩脾虛水腫、無胃口等症狀。適合各類體質人士食用。但注意過量服用容易引致胃脹。痛風患者忌食。
木瓜粟米黃豆湯
功效:理氣和胃,清熱利濕,紓緩腸胃濕熱引起的胃脹及便秘等症狀。
材料:熟木瓜1個、粟米2根、粟米鬚20克、眉豆20克、黃豆30克、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,木瓜去皮去籽切塊;粟米去衣留鬚切段備用。
2. 鍋中加入2000毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
注意:由於木瓜會刺激子宮收縮,孕婦不宜食用。

Benefits of using ripe and unripe papayas to make soup
Papaya is not only a type of fruit but also an ingredient used in cooking and has medicinal properties. From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, papaya can strengthen the stomach and spleen, aid digestion, clear summer-heat, and quench thirst.
Unripe green papayas are crunchy and are both sour and sweet in taste. They are suitable for cold dishes and can be used to make soup. Soup made from unripe papayas is suitable for postpartum women as the green fruit contains more proteases than the ripe ones, and these enzymes can induce lactation.
Ripe papayas, on the other hand, are sweet and juicy, and can be served as fresh fruit or mashed into puree and be used to marinate meat. This is because the enzymes in the papayas can break down protein, tenderizing the texture of the meat. By using ripe papayas to make soup, it becomes sweeter.
Papaya – mild in nature, can strengthen the spleen and stomach, improve digestion and quench one’s thirst; is suitable for individuals with a weak spleen and stomach, and those who experience bloating. It can stimulate appetite, relieve indigestion and promote lactation. Pregnant women should avoid eating papaya.
Tips on ingredient:
Soy beans are mild in nature, can strengthen the spleen and dispel dampness. Alleviates symptoms related to weak spleen such as bloating and lack of appetite. They are suitable for all body types. Note over consumption can lead to abdominal bloating and those suffering from gout should avoid.
Papaya and corn soup with soya bean
Effects: regulates qi and stomach, clears heat and dispels dampness, relieves stress related symptoms such as abdominal bloating and constipation.
Ingredients: 1 ripe papaya, 2 ears of corn, 20g corn silk, 20g black-eyed pea, 30g soya bean, 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel and core the papaya and cut into pieces. Remove husks from corn and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
Note: Since papaya can cause uterine contractions, it is not suitable for pregnant women.

CheckCheckCin:腳臭不一定患有「香港腳」,「香港腳」是足癬,即真菌感染性皮膚病,腳會出現水泡、痕癢、脫皮、刺痛等症狀。腳臭情況很普遍,因腳部有大量汗腺,流汗之多不輸腋下位置,腳汗本沒有味道,但當遇上細菌與黴菌繁殖,令角質蛋白分解,就會形成酸臭味。從中醫角度來看,濕熱體質人士特別容易有腳臭問題,因其汗液比較黃且多帶有臭味,如問題嚴重可諮詢註冊中醫師治理。
擺脫腳臭:
1. 選擇透氣的鞋,穿著有助吸汗的全棉襪,亦不妨在公司多放一對襪以應付下雨天
2. 除鞋後,鞋內放入備長炭或除臭吸濕包
3. 每天回家後立即以肥皂徹底洗腳及泡腳,然後擦乾雙腳
4. 如整天待在家,一天內以肥皂洗腳3-4次,然後擦乾雙腳
5. 改善濕熱體質,適量食用清熱祛濕食物例如薏米、赤小豆、綠豆、苦瓜等
6. 保持雙腳乾爽, 避免細菌滋生
艾葉泡腳方
功效:驅寒、殺菌、袪濕,改善血液循環。
材料:艾葉1小把
做法:把艾葉撕碎後,放入泡腳盤,注入少量熱水讓艾葉泡開,再注入溫水至水溫約40度泡5-10分鐘即可。

CheckCheckCin: Having smelly feet does not mean you have Athlete's foot. Athlete's foot is a type of fungal infection that affects the feet, and symptoms include itchy feet, peeling on the feet, pain, and blisters. It is, however, quite common to have smelly feet because we have many sweat glands on our feet, as they sweat as much as our armpits.
Likewise, the sweat from our feet does not give out a bad odor. The odor actually comes from the bacteria and mold that multiply on our feet and break down the protein molecules of the skin.
From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, people with a damp heat body constitution are more prone to develop smelly feet. The yellow sweat stains they produce carry a bad odor. Individuals with more severe conditions should consult registered and licensed Chinese medicine practitioner.
How to get rid of smelly feet:
1. Wear shoes with good ventilation, 100% cotton socks; put a pair of spare socks in the office just in case your socks get wet in the rain.
2. Put charcoal bags or deodorizer into the shoes when you are not wearing them.
3. Wash and submerge your feet in soap water every day when you get home; remember to wipe them dry after that.
4. If you are home all day, wash your feet with soap 3-4 times each day; remember to dry them after that.
5. Improve the damp heat body constitution by eat ingredients such as barley, adzuki bean, mung bean, and bitter gourd, as they can clear heat and dispel dampness from the body.
6. Keep your feet dry and comfortable all the time, as it can prevent bacterial growth and moisture from accumulating around the feet.
Mugwort leaf foot bath
Effects: Dispels cold, disinfects and dispels dampness, improves blood circulation.
Ingredients: small bunch of mugwort leaf
Preparation: tear leaf into small pieces and place into basin. Add in small amount of hot water to let leaf open up. Then add in room temperature until water is at about 40 degrees. Soak for 5-10 minutes.

This is how my 🔺anxiety🔻 kicks in when my nurse shared bout labour symptoms and told me to start preparing my hospital bag as early as I can.. She said, don’t rely on your husband, later he’ll be more panic n confused 😅😅😅

⚠️Cramps and increased back pain

Start to prepare “Hospital bag” now:
✅NB diapers
✅NB clothes x 1 set
✅Towel/ swaddle, baby body shampoo etc
✅Sarung and maternity pad for mother and new clothes for discharge
❌Do not wash baby’s clothes using adult’s detergent, sensitive for NB delicate skin (may cause rashes)
❌Do not keep baby’s clothes in exposed place, best in a storage container to prevent unnecessary infection when worn
❌Avoid the usage of “ubat gegat” (moth ball) near baby’s clothes. The presence of G6PD will break down red blood cell in baby’s body
Ok despite all the anxieties I’m getting, I’m still trying my best to stay calm n take one step at a time. Counting my baby’s kick is also giving me lots of worries bcs I’m always moving n I don’t seem to notice them until evening or when I’m ready to sleep. 😞 Working on a private space with 𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 helps with my emotional stability n state of mind too. 💯 I need to know what’s best for myself and take necessary measures and not let anyone affect me with their negative aura or emotional breakdown. 𝖄𝖔𝖚 𝖈𝖆𝖓 𝖉𝖔 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝕵𝖊𝖓𝖓!🤰🏻💪🏼
