Tremendous amount of work were done this week by the deck crew, FFE annual service, anchor teflon roller replaced (hanged off anchor with mooring ropes) as well as hydraulic pipes and multiple speed boat repairs
It is going to be two weeks out navigating and anchoring in uncharted river systems of the western province, we will be providing dental, eye surgery and general medical aid to those in need. This area is known to be the most remote areas we serve.
Interesting fact: Large Tidal bore occurs in the river system of Bamu. These rare tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of the incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) of water that travels up a river or narrow bay against the direction of the river or bay's current.
As 2nd mate, charts were updated but 90% of the river system are uncharted un-surveyed so not much use in that 😂😂 @ Port Moresby
