We have been staying home more often these days and no matter how tough or dismal the situation seems, we still try our best to remain calm and hopeful that the storm will blow over soon.

Besides playing pretend, watching movies, reading and doing holiday homework, this is one of their favourite activities this week - Tangram!

I love puzzles since I was a kid and it's nice to see how this love has passed on to this trio. We spent hours and days going through the puzzles and slowly solving them one by one. @the.smallt has 5 different puzzles of varying levels of difficulty which are suitable not just for kids, but adults too! My best friend came over to my place yesterday and both of enjoyed challenging ourselves too. It will be so fun to have a friendly puzzle solving competition too, wouldn't it?

The goal is simple - put ALL the wooden pieces together to create the different shapes printed in the box. It might sound easy but I assure you it's definitely harder than it sounds. In fact, I racked my brains pretty hard over a couple of them and almost wanted to give up. The fascinating thing is how you can solve it after taking a break and looking at things from a different perspective - which also means you might easily forget how you managed to solve some of them previously.

That is also why I love bringing our sets out to keep the kids occupied. Who needs screens when you have puzzles? While the younger two are still figuring out the easy puzzle sets, the firstborn and I are working as a team and moving on to the most difficult ones already. I find it a good way for me to bond with them while we work on our creativity, imagination and logic thinking skills.

Time for a dance workout!

Well, so I posted a short clip in stories last night and had a handful of queries from you all about the dance.

We are dancing to Figure 8 Fitness, which I bought online, and I absolutely love it because it makes you move every part of your body! The music is fast paced, the moves are varied and you get to do five kinds of Latin dances every time - Merengue, Samba, Salsa, Paso Doble and Jive. We did the 52-minute Core Cardio Blast last night and loved it. #notsponsored

The girls have been working out with me after dinner and I don't know why but they are always laughing their hearts out. Haha. Very funny meh? Anyway, I find dance such a good way to relax, bond while keeping fit at the same time. Sometimes, we just do yoga together and I will just search for random tutorials on YouTube too.

It's the start of exams for the big girl today but I still hope we can keep such fun nights coming our way and never lose the motivation to dance or exercise together. To more family workouts!
