Student Union....Food Bank...Volley Ball
Tomorrow, upon my arrival in KL, I will be at IIUM for a few events.
Hon. Minister of Education YB Dr Mazlee Malik will be witnessing the new chapter of Student Union to replace Student Society at IIUM Gombak. This is a bold and historic step for the students and the nation at large. I am intrigued to pose a question here; "Who is a leader? A leader is someone who sees what others can't".
In late afternoon around 6pm, there will be a launching event of Food Bank programme by YaPEIM. It will be held in the courtyard of the IIUM Mosque. If you are around, please come and join us in this significant initiative. YaPEIM has choosen a few universities and low cost housing fraternities to roll out the Food Bank programme.nationwide. We are appealing to all of you...the more you donate to YaPEIM, the more we at YaPEIM can spread the wings of compassion to the nation. If you are food operators, you may come forward direct to universities and selected deserving places for this Food Bank programme. Feeding men in hunger is a noble and Quranic call.
In early evening, the time is right to socialise with the IIUM community in sport activities. This time, we want to try volley ball. Hope to see you there.....for game purposes or just for social gathering.
I will be flying out to KL this evening from Dubai anytime now. I have accomplished all my meetings and assigmments in Muscat, London and Dubai respectively in 3 days. The next overseas trip is this coming weekend to Bangkok followed a few day trip to Saudi Arabia in early November.
To travel is to unlock the world and more importantly yourselves.
