雖然就官方的用語「暫停」來看，這只是個有期限的禁令(而且貌似立意良善)，但實際上會持續多久是未知數。不過也有人認為官方不太可能打壓休閒娛樂太久，應該過不久就會重新開放。

回顧台灣過去對冒險性戶外活動的態度，如登山、溯溪等，還不也是管理單位怕麻煩，說封就封，中央一聲不吭？從這個角度來看，雖然隔了一道台灣海峽和不同的近代發展史，官方的態度卻是驚人的相似 ── 或許，可以說是一種文化上的相仿之處。

慶幸台灣已經跨過了那一步。剩下就是把精力放在預防之上，而不是走封閉的回頭路。

同時我們也要理解到：冒險不可能永遠零傷亡，但可能透過宣導教育和合理的體制力求趨近於零。人民透過冒險實現成長，對於個人和社會的助益更是無可計量。
