🌻There Are Too Many Defenseless(無防禦性的) Stocks
(可以的話, 我希望您可以好好讀一下這篇文章. 我希望能夠幫您守住些財富, 減少些損失, 甚至創造些獲利. "Too many", 也就代表了股票沒有稀有性)
The underwriters just created too many stocks. There's too many new companies, too many companies that help you with analytics(分析), too many that offer video, too many data collectors and too many real-time analysis, and too many cybersecurity companies. There's been too many new electric vehicle derivatives, too many cannabis (大麻) plays and way too many new fintechs(金融科技).
The effect? We are now facing a bewildering number of companies that simply do the same things and can't be differentiated (無差異性的) and, frankly, are too hard to understand unless you are deeply involved in the transfer of data from on your premises to the cloud(雲端).
Why does this matter?
Because these stocks are defenseless. They are defenseless against inflation (通膨) because so many of them sell at a multiple to sales and any company that trades as a multiple to sales (指的是以P/S為估值方式, 非傳統的P/E. 軟體公司主要是用P/S) will see its value erode more quickly than any other in this stock market because the company has to graduate from a multiple to sales to a multiple of earnings, or just keep losing money. So many new investors have not experienced real inflation where these kinds of stocks can't be given away.
They are defenseless against an economic boom. I have been reading through countless software as a whatever with a go to market strategy and a huge TAM (total addressable market, 指的是市場大小) to land and expand(指的是雲端公司的商業模式), and my eyes glaze over. Who needs a company with all of those buzzwords that's growing at 27% and losing money when I have plenty of high quality industrials that are growing at 27% and spewing cash to the point the biggest issue is how much should be put to growth versus rewarding shareholders.
They are defenseless against older companies with a balanced policy toward dividends and buybacks, so that supply is mopped up while demand is bolstered by a yield. The land and expanders don't have anything backing them up which makes them vulnerable to sudden shocks down as we have seen.
They are defenseless against insider selling. If capital gains rates are going up, these are the companies with the most vulnerable stocks because so many of the people in these new companies have stocks that are still up substantially from when they got stock so a company with a stock down 30%-40% is vulnerable from scads of insider selling, including secondaries I am now expecting with increasing frequency.
They are defenseless against SPACs. While there are many good SPACs there are too many SPACs with too much stock sloshing around. I keep thinking about that MP Materials (MP) secondary offering in late March, where entities controlled by CEO James Litinsky sold 4.6 million shares of his company in a deal priced at $35. Now it is a small percentage of his holdings and many others involved with the company sold small amounts, too. That's not the point. It's more of a statement: this stock traded at $50. You might have been inclined to buy on the pullback but you would have been massacred as the stock is now at $27. If you have a so-called successful SPAC its success might be measured by how much money you took out of it before its stock fell by 50%. There are hundreds of things and when you consider all of the warrants out there, you know this market is going to be overwhelmed with this stuff.
You aren't going to see these kinds of secondaries at Deere (DE) or Caterpillar (CAT) , that's for certain.
Now there are people out there willing to buy the incredibly almost stupidly risky stocks, people like Cathie Wood, who demonstrated her unflappable conviction to her method of buying stocks that worked when there's scarcity value but there's anything but that now.
Maybe she can take down tens of billions of dollars worth and save the day. I wouldn't count on it. I am sorry to question her stock picking, lord knows she's been amazing. But unless others copy her, we know the stocks she is buying resemble what's not working at all. Maybe someday, but not now.
I try to figure out what the end game for these stocks might be if the economy keeps heating up and inflation accelerates. There's simply not enough money from young people or ETFs based on high growth or Cathie Wood to keep these stocks higher, and there's too much opportunity for the insiders to do what MP did, something that crunched the stock even as it reported a quarter ahead of expectations, which meant something at one point but means absolutely nothing now. Nothing at all.

A statement by Sisters in Islam with regards to the “bin Abdullah” issue.
———-
14 February 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
“Bin Abdullah” Case: Uphold the Child’s Right to a Name, Identity and Family
Sisters in Islam (SIS) views the Federal Court’s decision on the “bin Abdullah” case with mixed concerns. While we welcome the ruling by the Federal Court to remove “bin Abdullah” from a Johor-born Muslim child’s name from his birth certificate, however, we view with great distress and concern for disallowing the father’s name to be a part of the child’s name. Sisters in Islam had hoped for a decision that would have resolved this matter addressing the core issue of the stigmatisation of Muslim children born out of wedlock.
SIS is grateful that Malaysia has religious leaders such as the Mufti of Penang and the Mufti of Perlis who have provided a compassionate approach to this issue so as to take into account the welfare and best interest of the child. We also support the Children’s Commissioner in SUHAKAM who had called for the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1957 to be amended and applied equally to Muslims and non-Muslims.
The usage of “bin Abdullah” for Muslim children born out of wedlock carries a social stigma as “bin Abdullah” children are often ridiculed, attacked, bullied and targeted. The Federal Court’s decision for removing “bin Abdullah” from the child’s name and disallowing him to carry the father’s name will only lead to a new kind of stigmatisation of the child and other children in a similar situation. Also, it is now an open question as to what the child’s last name should be.
The Islamic Family Law (State of Johor) Enactment 2003 only deals with the issue of paternity or nasab of a father over his child. The definition of a child born out of wedlock as well as the requirement to name these children “bin or binti Abdullah” are provided in two fatwas of the Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan of JAKIM. Thus, it is clear that the naming as “bin Abdullah” is not prescribed by law but by a fatwa. Sisters in Islam has often criticised the far-reaching effects of a fatwa, which sometimes have even more overreaching consequences than the law itself.
The application of a fatwa in such a manner should be scrutinised and subjected to proper consultation, checks and balances, especially when it has a severe impact on the life of a child.
In Malaysia, states have issued their own fatwa on this matter. For example, the Perlis state government has gazetted a fatwa in 2013 that allows children born less than six months from the parents’ marriage date to carry the name of his/her father provided their parents and that the father acknowledges the child. However, the father does not have paternity rights over the child. The late Wahbah Zuhaili, a well-respected Islamic scholar, has stated that it is permissible for the child to be named after the father if he so agrees. This particular argument is in line with upholding the best interest of the child.
Sisters in Islam has time and again called for greater balance in the promulgation of Islamic laws and fatwas. The most important tenets of Islam - justice, compassion, harmony must be the guiding factor. It is clear that this fatwa on children born out of wedlock causes harm and is not beneficial to the welfare and best interest of the child.

Reference:
Section 111 of the Islamic Family Law (State of Johor) Enactment 2003 provides: “Where a child is born to a woman who is married to a man more than six qamariah months from the date of the marriage or within four qamariah years after dissolution of the marriage either by the death of the man or by divorce, and the woman not having remarried, the nasab or paternity of the child is established in the man, but the man may, by way of li’an or imprecation, disavow or disclaim the child before the Court.”
The definition of a child born out of wedlock is provided specifically under the fatwa. In this case, we quote the fatwa issued by the Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan (JAKIM):
This fatwa was preceded in 1981 by a fatwa that deals directly with the naming of a child born out of wedlock. Reference is made again tp the Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan under JAKIM: Muzakarah Jawatankuasa Fatwa Majlis Kebangsaan Bagi Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam Malaysia Kali Ke-1 yang bersidang pada 28 - 29 Januari 1981 telah membincangkan Penamaan Anak Tak Sah Taraf (Anak Luar Nikah).

This is the so-called "Bible's" whisky of the year 2016. It flew off the shelves so fast that even Canadians couldn't get their hands on it.
I don't like JM and his work. But curiosity got the better of me and I really wanted to try this - so I guess his ploy worked. This cat is ashamed for falling for it. Damn you JM. 😢
Nice legs. Smells like sweet dessert. Easy drinking. Sweet. Young. Viscous. No finish. It's typically Canadian. I'm glad I had a taste and that Canadian whisky has the limelight now. But whisky of the year? Hard for me to say. What do you reckon?
Thanks so much for the sampling opportunity!

Lets all take a moment to recognize Jun for his outstanding accomplishment of supporting me without complaint while I shopped for clothes for 3 1/2 hours!
This is a special type of thrift store (古着屋/furugiya, meaning old 古 clothes 着 store 屋) known as mai shuu sagaru (毎週下がる). 毎 means "every" 週 means "week" and 下がる means "lowers." The price on all clothing items lowers every week through a set schedule. This type of thrift store is the lowest end where brand clothes that can't be sold in higher end thrift stores are taken, and all other inexpensive clothing are sent for the purpose of super quick resale. The lowest price in this particular 毎週下がる古着屋 is only ¥100 (~$1).
You will also see 毎週下がる written out partially or completely in katakana: マイシュウサガール.
The store in the video is the マイシュウサガール branch of 買取王国 (kaitori oukoku): http://okoku.jp/
I am an admitted thrift store shopaholic in both America and Japan! My family didn't have the money to buy me new clothes growing up so I began shopping at thrift stores for myself as a teen. I would say that 90% of my clothes, shoes, and accessories have come from these stores. I LOVE thrift stores because it is like treasure hunting and they're so cheap!! Japanese thrift stores are especially incredible because the clothes are almost all young and fashionable compared to America where in the low-end thrift stores you have to dig through a sea of old people things to find anything decent! Almost everything I've worn in all of my videos have come from thrift stores. :) "Thrifting" as it's called is also great since you're having a positive impact on the environment by recycling and avoiding purchasing new products. I highly encourage everyone visiting Japan to seek out a mai shuu sagaru thrift store! Don't be intimidated by the thought of small Japanese sizes--there are plenty of larger and baggy clothes to be found as well. :)

Hina Matsuri (Girls' Day) is a festival held for young girls in Japan on March 3rd (03/03). Dolls called hina ningyou representing the emperor and empress and their court are set up for the girl children of each family, and are said to absorb bad luck/spirits so that the children grow healthily. These are the dolls being set up for my sister-in-law, Yuka.
