Marina Burana是來自阿根廷的視覺藝術家、作家和木偶戲工作者，目前定居在台灣。她的戲劇和木偶戲曾在美國、英國、台灣、加拿大、秘魯、烏拉圭和阿根廷等地演出；過往出版過三本短篇小說，並有多元類別的作品，例如散文、詩、故事、插畫和設計，刊登在世界各地的書籍和雜誌，包括紐西蘭、美國、西班牙、古巴、委內瑞拉、津巴布韋、烏拉圭、智利、多明尼加、台灣、印尼和阿根廷。曾前往紐約The Art Students League學習繪畫，並獲得台北國立藝術大學美術學士學位。

Marina Burana is an Argentinian visual artist based in Taiwan. Her paintings have been exhibited in Italy, USA, England, Argentina and Taiwan. She is also a writer, a puppeteer and a facilitator of participatory community arts projects, for which she has worked with different types of communities using art as a vehicle to further explore our place in the environment and in our broken societal systems. Her plays in English and in Spanish have had readings and productions in the U.S., England, Taiwan, Canada, Peru, Uruguay and Argentina. She has published 3 books of short stories and has collaborated with essays, poetry, narrative, illustrations and designs for books and magazines from numerous countries. Marina plays the violin, the ukulele and has a deep interest in painting anything related to the sea, with special focus on the intermingling of shapes and color, reinterpreting its abundance and its extraordinary biodiversity in contrast to the increasing human negligence towards preserving its riches and being respectful of this fundamental source of life. She studied at the Art Students League of New York and got her BFA with a Painting Major from Taipei National University of the Arts. You can visit her work here: www.marinaburana.com.
