We were at the new house today to take some measurements, and it was snowing very heavily. All the green grass that was visible to our eyes yesterday was now covered under a thick blanket of snow. As I watched the heavy snowflakes fall and hit the ground with the background noise of Fatimah and Ali having fun, running around the empty house giggling in joy, I couldn’t help but think about you.

I wish you were here with us to enjoy this beautiful moment. I wish you were here with us as we moved forward to the next step in our life journey. But I guess where you are now is much more beautiful than we could ever imagine. You know what, Mamajee? There’s an apple tree in our cottage’s garden. I can almost hear your excited voice when I saw the tree. As we are in winter, there were no leaves left. Only a few overripe apples.

We wanted to pluck it, but Mrs Mom stopped us. She said "We have more than enough apples at home. Let’s leave it there for the birds and squirrels to enjoy." And she reminded us not to be selfish and never forget to always seek the blessings of The Almighty in every little thing we do in our daily lives. What an angel she is!

As we all gathered and watched the beautiful heavy snow fall, Mrs Mom added, "Let us all pray for Mamajee…"

😟I cannot remember a time when my home was worry-free. I learned early that a moment without worry was a moment wasted in idleness. Research shows that depression and anxiety can be passed from parent to child when children observe their parents’ incessant worries and adopt similar thought patterns for themselves.

On paper, I looked perfect (at least to the adults who told me so): a perfect SAT score in one try, three perfect SAT II subject tests, 10 perfect AP tests, recipient of national awards, president of various clubs, avid volunteer, and founder of an education nonprofit. But I would rather have died than learn that “perfect” was still not enough to get into the colleges I’d set my sights on.

😢I didn’t know there were illnesses called depression and anxiety, and the adults around me never suspected, because I looked like I was on top of my life. When I would burst into tears, my father would shout at me to stop crying because, “No one is dead — save your tears for when I die.” And when I told my mom of my suicidal thoughts her first response was, “How can you be so selfish?” I felt unworthy of their love until I was perfect beyond reproach.

當時我不知道抑鬱和焦慮也是疾病，身邊的大人也從未懷疑，因為我看似正值人生巔峰。如果我突然大哭，父親就會大吼著讓我別哭，因為「沒有人死，等我死了你再哭。」我告訴媽媽我有自殺的想法，她的第一反應是，「你怎麼這麼自私？」我覺得自己不值得他們愛，除非我完美到無可挑剔的程度。

クレイユーキーズとして五作目の今作はシンガーソングライターのyuiを再び迎えた曲になる。yuiと7月にリリースした『道』はサマーソングだったが『サヨナラSAY GOODBYE』は、クレイが高校生時代に作った曲を元にKafu Satoを中心にSugi(WEAVER)、MafuMafu、小笠原拓海、Martin(OAU)のクレイユーキーズバンドで生まれ変わらせた至極のクリスマスソングになる。

また、配信ジャケットとMVイラストは引き続きbanishmentが担当。「世界から音が消えた日」は、YouTubeの再生回数が61万再生を超えている。好評だった前回作品に続き、今回もクレイユーキーズの優しいサウンドとbanishmentのイラストの化学反応が見られそうだ。

This is the fifth release of the KureiYuki's, and its lead singer is yui again.
"Michi" released in July with yui was a summer tune,
but "Sayonara Say Goodbye" is a Christmas song.
In addition, banishment will continue to be in charge of the illustrations.

Lonelier with You takes you on a journey into the middle of a personal heartbreak (SPOILER: MY heartbreak lol). I found myself getting so caught up in wanting to be with someone, I didn't realize that the process of being with them actually made me lonelier than I was in the first place. Besides actual therapy, I'd say that music is my greatest journaling & processing tool. This song kind of wrote itself, and I'm both excited and nervous to be sharing this side of me with you all.
