Just two very different children forming the best duo against the world. This is what I love about siblings. I was once asked if I wasn’t related to my siblings, would we be friends. It’s interesting because I love and adore each sibling and yet the answer would probably be no because we are so different and most likely wouldn’t cross paths in our journeys. You grow in love despite your differences and you end up learning so much from one another. It’s almost as if you end up balancing each another. I love this video. They look so carefree and it makes me miss being a child. Do you remember as a kid, you wanted to grow up quickly so you can do grown up stuff? Here’s what I thought I’ll do as an adult. 1. Go to work with a briefcase. 2. Attend ball parties all day long (thanks to role playing Barbie games with my big sister hehe). As you can guess, adulthood is none of these things (for me anyways). Adulthood is constantly folding clothes and doing laundry all day long. It’s relentless cleaning of the kitchen (whether you cook or not). It’s being tired during the time only to deal with insomnia at night 😂😂😂. Now I live vicariously through these two. They’re smart because neither wants to be an adult anytime soon. Why would you? Ever since I introduced my childhood video game Super Mario Bros, my eldest @kingstonleekc has been engrossed with this character. He has been able to name me the characters. From Mario to Bowser, from Toad to Waluigi. Characters which I didn’t even know. All I knew were Mario, Luigi , Princess and Bowser. And im not sure why, he told me his favourite character is Bowser Junior.
Hmm.. Not sure I should be proud of it. But well. He promised me and @wongmewchoo that his excitement with Mario won’t slow down his education, so I will just let him and his bro a half an hour Mario time a day. Funnily, he is quite disciplined with the half an hour permitted. However he uses most of that half an hour to surf YouTube videos on how other players play the Mario games. From the Mario bros 2 which I played when we were young till now the Mario Odyssey series.
Well, today it’s his eighth birthday. No big fancy gifts. All we wanted to do is to give him something that make him smile. So Bowser Junior it is on the cake!!
Haha. Couldn’t explain how big the grin was when he saw these two cakes. It’s like an Awie fan seeing Awie’s face on a cake. That happy!!
Kingston, Happy Eighth Birthday. All daddy and mommy hope from you are for you to grow up to be a good man, and have many good reliable friends. Also… also, please don’t ever feel entitled. (Not sure about other parents out there but that’s the worry I have for my sons)
