Sony Interactive Entertainment ประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการว่าขณะนี้บริษัทได้เข้าซื้อ Nixxes Software ทีมงานชั้นนำผู้เชี่ยวชาญเรื่องการพอร์ตเกม เข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในร่มชายคาของ PlayStation Studios แล้วเป็นที่เรียบร้อย

Nixxes Software จะเข้ามามีบทบาทในงานด้านเทคนิคและการพัฒนาเกมโดยเฉพาะ โดย Hermen Hulst บอสใหญ่ของ PlayStation Studios กล่าวถึงข่าวอันน่ายินดีนี้ว่า
"ผมให้ยกย่องทีมงาน Nixxes มาก ๆ ในฐานะผู้ที่เปี่ยมไปด้วยประสบการณ์ และจะได้เข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของทีมงานระดับโลกที่ Sony Interactive Entertainment แห่งนี้"
