I finished WestWorld S3. First thought----- dame Serac is so hot. His twisted love for his brother sort of reminds me of Ford's love for Arnold. Its sad the show play down his intelligence in the end, I was hoping he has more to do.
Overall the plot and characters are much weaker then S1, not even close. It feels almost like a fan fic. I hope S4 will be better.
I realise how amazing Ford was in S1, comparing to characters in S3. The dialogue have more depth, and its fun to guess his motive. Now Dolores copy Ford's behaviour, Maeve's motive is weak. Its disappointing. S1 - S2 play with timeline, S3 is plain regarding storytelling. But, the question it brings out is interesting.
Rather you live in a completely safe but controlled society like in the world of Minority Report, or live in chaos like FIghtClub?
The same question has been asked in Captain America 2, Batman Dark Knight and many more.
And its not really sci-fi. Big Data, the big brother, is watching us now.
I think the WestWorld 3 overrated human's reaction when they find out the truth, find out they are being manipulated. In 2018, the world finds out Facebook had been feeding our privacy to Cambridge Analytica, just like Incite in WestWorld. They use data of our behaviour to manipulate election and other nasty things. But, we are still on here. No one got as upset as people in the show.
Reality is more sci-fi then a sci-fi tv show.
After all the deep thoughts, I just want to see nice fan fic and fan art of my ships. But there is, sadly, not much. I want to see William fuck himself LOL
