《川普走了，拜登歷史性的就職典禮，BBC現場直播》
* PBS：拜登就職大典前夕，首都華府加強防護到前所未有的安全。執法部門和軍隊如何確保權力的和平轉移? 美國土安全部長已誓言要防止讓國會大廈再次受到襲擊。但全球反對仇恨與極端主義組織創始人HeidiBeirich分析，國會大廈襲擊已使白人至上主義者、陰謀論者及反政府激進分子等先前分散的團體聚集在一起，他們在支持川普總統的時候找到了共同點，形成了美國當前最重要的威脅。這些極端右派的理念是，不相信民主制度、不信任投票，基本上也反對政府形式，其中一些人是主張暴力的。

他自從離開白宮，就與川普反目成仇了，他告訴媒體如果連他都收到邀請函，不知道白宮會多絕望的希望召集嘉賓歡送川普。
共和黨的大佬們在20日上幾乎集體缺席川普歡送會，包括參議院共和黨領袖麥康奈，眾議院共和黨領袖麥卡錫。
兩人都將出席拜登在20號上午8:45的教堂禱告。副總統潘斯也選擇不出席川普的歡送儀式，而是前往教堂一同與拜登禱告，之後出席拜登就職儀式。
