In celebration of AIT@40 Shared Values Month, AIT hosted Professional Fellows Program mentor Carrie Sperling of the Wisconsin Innocence Project and alumna Yun-Ching Ko of the Taiwan Innocence Project for a series of discussions on March 25. Professor Sperling and Ms. Ko visited the Institute of Forensic Medicine in the afternoon and shared their reflections on the innocence movements in the United States and Taiwan at an evening forum at NTU moderated by AIT Deputy Political Chief Mark Rosenshield. #USJudiciary #FrankCaprio” #USTaiwanExchange
Have you seen the viral videos featuring U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Roberts (watch the video: https://goo.gl/93JHUJ) and Providence (Rhode Island) Municipal Judge Frank Caprio? Judges are an indispensable part of the U.S. democratic system, and AIT is honored to host a U.S. federal court judge next week in Taiwan to discuss the role of the U.S. judiciary. In celebration of our shared democratic values, AIT looks forward to promoting more exchanges between judges in the U.S. and Taiwan.
