After a short but seemingly long hiatus, @anantarasiambangkok relaunch their renowned Sunday Brunch in their courtyard and connecting f&b outlets. Although it may be missing its original sheen, do consider the price for such a spread is pretty spectacular for Sunday bubbly revellers. The 3000 thb++ all inclusive alcoholic packages include free-flow Moët & Chandon Champagne, bottomless wine and a choice of cocktails from the bar.
This Sunday Brunch still offers buffet with live stations such as seafood, sushi, flame-grilled meats, freshly prepared Italian and selection of cooked to order pasta, and hot roasted dishes. The "street food" section were actually one of our favourites, providing a crispy and red pork, Peking duck, Som Tum and Khao soi stations.
A la carte is also on offer with starters served à la minute like the lobster thermidor, foie gras and beef Wellington.
Sunday Brunch flows from 11.30 am – 3.00 pm weekly, spreading throughout Parichart Court (Madison, Aqua Bar and Spice Market restaurants). Guests can enjoy seating in an air-conditioned dining room or in a tropical open-air atrium.
Brunch Package is priced at THB 2,200++, including free-flow soft drinks and mineral water

Goodness, a wrap up to this Italian series is seriously in order 😳 there’s a handful of interesting things I still want to share but got distracted w life, covid news, US elections news and all sorts of randomness — but in case any of you think about traveling to Italy once all ‘this’ is over — 🤞🏼vaccine🤞🏼— I wanted to tell you why Ischia is so special🤩
Since Roman times, Ischia has been renowned for all sorts of wellness spas, mineral baths & over 100 natural hot springs and mineral baths. Hot springs happens to be a family favorite/specialty so we reviewed a lot of options and picked the one that seemed most kid friendly bc there’s also a beach to play and swim at — the Negombo Thermal Spa gardens and water park!
It was fantastic w so many different pools of differing temperatures, sizes, and even caves, that you could enjoy depending on how hot you like your baths - there was even a super hot and steamy Turkish bath which was amazing! We spent the day there and stayed mostly in the cooler pools w our little bebe and the beach, but when she took her afternoon nap, I passed her to her father and went searching to dip into the hottest ones with my friend!
It was fabulous — I didn’t take any pictures since I was in and out of the water but here’s a few shots to give guys a small feel of it ☺️ I’m taking the pics, so obviously not in any of them and it’s hard to get a proper sense of it but really such a wonderful way to spend the day! 🛀🏼

CREAMY CRAB PASTA with UNI and SHRIMP — why not uni pasta straight? Cos I can’t bring myself to cook any of my favourite uni!!!
So I received quite a number of queries about first the UNI (this one is oh so delicious super sweet and creamy one bite size plus one piece instantly elevates the whole dining experience but friends who asked I gotta say sorry next time I buy I try to buy more k 😅) and second the RECIPE so here it is ~~
I used brown crab it’s huge with lotsa lotsa roe and meat perfect for making pasta.
1. Steam the crab, separate roe and meat, press the roe into powder form and tear the meat (aiya I forgot to sprinkle some remaining on top of my pasta as finishing touch I Gan Cheong)
2. Hot your pan with olive oil stir fry some chopped garlic and spring onions
3. Pour the roe into the pan, cook for a while then pour the crab meat in, can add some white wine, add the remaining of the steam crab juice into the mix, and finally add cooking cream. If you like it wet you can add some pasta water but I prefer it dry. Add basil leaf to balance up the creamy flavour. I didn’t have so I added some fennel some Italian herbs and some lemon zest into the mix, then flavour accordingly. I think u can cut some dried chilli into it also, just a touch so it doesn’t change the flavour just to balance it up.
4. The shrimp honestly I added just because I wanted to eat and seafood family can gel. Just pan fry with butter and it alr taste amazing, sprinkle some salt and pepper while drying will do. Uni no need do anything la it is heaven.
5. Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top but not too much cos the dish is alr creamy to begin with.
Plating u do whatever u like la if u have some greens like parsley to dress it up it’ll look nicer lor. But I was hungry so that’s all haha.
Simple dish that impresses easily, have fun cooking!

むっちりイタリアンプリン
18cmパウンド型 1本分
材料:
■プリン液
生クリーム 200ml
マスカルポーネチーズ(室温に戻す)100g
練乳 30g
グラニュー糖 30g
卵 2個
バニラエッセンス 少々
■カラメルソース
グラニュー糖 30g
水 小さじ1
作り方:
1.オーブンは160℃に予熱しておく。湯煎焼き用の熱湯を沸かしておく。
2.カラメルソースを作る。小鍋にグラニュー糖と水を入れて中火にかける。グラニュー糖が液状になってカラメル色に色づき、気泡が小さくなったら火を止めて、型に流し入れる。型の底にまんべんなく行き渡らせたら、冷蔵庫に入れて冷やし固める。
3.プリン液を作る。ボウルにマスカルポーネチーズ、練乳、グラニュー糖、バニラエッセンスを入れてよく混ぜたら、卵を1つずつ加えて、そのつどよく混ぜる。
4.(2)の型にプリン液を注ぎ入れる。天板にのせたバットの底にふきんをしき、型をおく。型の半分の高さくらいまで熱湯を注ぎ、160℃に予熱したオーブンで45~50分焼く。
5.焼き上がったら10分ほどオーブンに入れたまま余熱で火を入れる。型を揺らして、しっかり固まっていたら、冷蔵庫に2時間ほど入れて冷やし固める。
6.熱湯に型をさっと浸け、皿やまな板をかぶせてひっくり返す。型をゆっくりと持ち上げて外したら、完成!お好みの大きさに切り分けていただく。

Italian Flan
Servings: 1 loaf pan (18cm)
INGREDIENTS
■Flan mixture
200ml heavy cream
100g mascarpone cheese (at room temperature)
30g condensed milk
30g granulated sugar
2 eggs
Some vanilla
■Caramel sauce
30g granulated sugar
1 teaspoon water
PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F). Boil water for water bath in the oven.
2. To make caramel sauce, heat granulated sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Turn off the heat when sugar liquefied and golden. Pour into the loaf pan and coat the bottom. Refrigerate it.
3. To make flan mixture, mix mascarpone cheese, condensed milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Add eggs, one at the time, mix well each time.
4. Pour the flan mixture (3) into the loaf pan. Line a larger baking pan with a kitchen towel and place the loaf pan. Pour boiling water into the larger pan to cover half of the loaf pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
5. Leave 10 minutes in the oven to slowly cook the center. Tap the loaf pan to check it is done (solid). Refrigerate for 2 hours.
6. Bath the loaf pan in hot water (for easy unmolding), put a serving plate upside-down on top of the loaf pan and flip. Make sure to remove the pan slowly not to break the flan. Cut as you like.
7.Enjoy!

Creamy Ramen Carbonara (One-Pot Pasta Recipe)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 10min
Number of servings: 1
Ingredients:
1 packet Sapporo Ichiban Shio Ramen https://amzn.to/3kHqNz1
30g (1oz.) bacon or pancetta
1 US Cup (240ml) milk or water
A
* 1 egg
* 2 tbsp. parmesan cheese
* 1 tsp. Shio Ramen soup seasoning
1 tbsp. olive oil
cracked black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix A very well.
2. Cut bacon into lardons (little sticks).
3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and cook the bacon sticks until slightly crisp or up to your preference.
4. Add milk and simmer till hot (do not boil over). Add the noodles and simmer (shake to separate) until the liquid is almost gone.
5. Stop the heat, add A mixture, and mix well until creamy. No worries, the heat of the pasta can cook the raw egg.
6. Serve on a dish and sprinkle with cracked black pepper to finish.

ぷるんと濃厚〜抹茶のイタリアンプリンのレシピです!
なんとレンジで簡単にできちゃいます!
カラメルの苦味と抹茶チーズケーキのような濃厚な味わい、そしてクリーミーな食感が最高の一品です。

抹茶のイタリアンプリン
400ml角型の耐熱容器 1個分
材料:
■プリン液
牛乳 100ml
卵 1個
砂糖 大さじ3
薄力粉 小さじ1
抹茶 小さじ1
粉ゼラチン 7g
水 大さじ1
クリームチーズ(室温に戻す) 100g
生クリーム 100ml
■カラメルソース
砂糖 大さじ2
水 小さじ1
熱湯 大さじ1
作り方:
1.カラメルソースを作る。深めの耐熱ボウルに砂糖、水を入れ、ラップをかけずに600Wの電子レンジで2分ほど加熱する。茶色くなったら鍋つかみをはめてボウルを揺すり、熱湯を加えてかき混ぜる。(カラメルが跳ねるので注意する。)なめらかになったら容器に流し入れ、冷蔵庫で冷やす。
2.プリン液を作る。ボウルに卵、砂糖を加えて溶きほぐし、薄力粉、抹茶を合わせてふるい入れ、ダマがなくなるまで混ぜる。
3.牛乳を加えてさらに混ぜ、ふんわりラップをかけて、600Wの電子レンジで1分30秒加熱する。取り出してなめらかになるまで混ぜ、再びラップをかけて20-30秒加熱してよく混ぜる。
4.別のボウルにクリームチーズを入れてなめらかになるまで練り混ぜ、生クリームを2回に分けて加え、その都度混ぜる。
5.(3)のボウルに(4)を3回に分けて加え、その都度よく混ぜる。ふんわりラップをかけて、600Wの電子レンジで1分30秒加熱する。
6.ゼラチンを水に振り入れて600Wの電子レンジで20秒ほど加熱して液状にし、(5)に加えてよく混ぜる。
7.(1)の型にプリン液をこし入れ、冷蔵庫で3−4時間冷やす。
8.皿の上に裏返して取り出したら、完成!

Matcha Italian Flan Made With Microwave!
Servings: 1 (400ml cake mold, microwave-safe)
INGREDIENTS
■Flan
100ml milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon matcha powder
7g gelatin powder
1 tablespoon water
100g cream cheese (at room temperature)
100ml fresh cream
■Caramel sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon water
1 tablespoon hot water
PREPARATION
1. To make caramel sauce, microwave sugar and water in a large bowl for two minutes (600W). When browns, shake the bowl, add hot water and mix. (Make sure to use oven mitts! Its hot!) When smooth, pour into a microwave-safe mold and refrigerate it.
2. To make flan mixture, mix an egg and sugar in a bowl. Sift all-purpose flour and matcha into the bowl and mix until smooth.
3. Add milk and mix. Plastic-warp the bowl slightly and microwave it for 1 minute and 30 seconds (600W). Mix until smooth, then wrap it again to microwave 20 to 30 seconds. Mix well again.
4. In separate bowl, put cream cheese and mix until smooth. Add half of fresh cream into the bowl to mix, then pour the rest of cream to mix more.
5. Pour cream cheese cream mixture (4) into the bowl (3) slowly (1/3 of mixture at a time). Make sure to whisk well each time you add the mixture. Plastic-wrap the bowl lightly and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds (600W).
6. Sprinkle gelatin powder into the water and microwave for 20 seconds (600W) to let it dissolve. Add into the bowl (5) and mix well.
7. Pour cream mixture (5) into the mold (1). Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
8. Unmold the flan onto a plate.
9. Enjoy!
