People don't seem to believe me when I say it's about the angle, lighting and pump. This photo was taken exactly 2 days after the previous post, except this was after a tri & bi blast session with light coming from above. Also, taking the photo myself can ensure the best angle, according to my eyes 😜👀 No, I don't look like this normally, but this is a real snapshot of how I looked under relatively optimal conditions. Still lots of room for improvement, but gotta take it one step at a time 💪🏻 #perseverance

HANDSTAND AT THE WALL - In order to master a free standing handstand you need to find a good body shape with all the correct muscle activation 🤸🏼♀️
I often see people training handstands at the wall with their bum facing the wall (as shown in fig. 1) - this puts our spine into extension, or creates what is often referred to as a “banana back” 🙅🏼♀️🍌
When we come into our free standing handstand, we want to create a dish shape with our body, engaging our core, glutes and legs, stacking our bones and finding that beautiful “line” - if we practise with our bum to the wall, we are essentially training a less than optimal body shape in our handstand, making it *much* harder to find balance and ease when we come away from the wall. We then have to do twice as much work when we come away from the wall to try and re-train ourselves to find the correct body shape + alignment 😧
If you flip your position and train with your body facing toward the wall, you will not only start building strength and confidence upside down, but at the same time you can start to engage your core and create muscle engagement that will fast track your journey to handstand away from the wall 🤸🏼♀️
Walk your feet up the wall and start in the position shown shown in fig. 2, then as you build strength and confidence, progress to the shape in fig. 3 - where everything is strong, active and engaged, and only the nose and toes touch the wall. 💪🏼
This will accelerate your handstand training and build a strong, functional handstand shape 🙌🏼

A really informative chat with fitness and health expert Ben Siong. For all my sisters, who have always questioned bout why they have irregular periods, why they bloat, why they have painful periods, what's the possible cause for bleeding more than two weeks here's a video that will help explain those questions!
The human body is very complicated and my dear sisters, ours is even more complicated cause we have a thing called the period. Ben is one of the few coaches who takes the time to not only understand the physiology of the body but also the mind which is incredibly crucial. I do hope you take away valueable information from this video, because Ben's had shared a lot of his expertise during this 1 hour. :)

Would those decreased levels of hormones, and reduced neuroprotection also impact CNS recovery? And would female athletes have to then avoid highly taxing sessions/peaking periods during this time frame?
37:11 I've read that lower back pain during menstruation is caused by the uterus swelling which can create pressure on the uterosacral ligaments and lead to pain in the lower back and pelvis. Is this accurate? If so should females generally avoid deadlifts/front squats/lower back intensive exercises during this period? Should they be left out entirely, or replaced by something else?

Did you know that women usually have stronger glutes than men? It's almost as if it is our number-one weapon and source of strength! All the muscles in your body work together - that's why you can't target reduce or strengthen just one muscle at a time. The three areas that work together a lot are your core, your butt, and your lower back. A strong butt means that your entire hip area is operating at its optimal. Having a shapely butt is beautiful - at the same time, building a strong body will make you feel strong as a person.
For these simple exercises, weights are optional. You may use your own body weight! Have a great workout!

I met Performance Coach- Benjamin Siong of Australia Strength Performance at ActiFIT Asia 2018 in April. After listening to his lectures I was interested to attend his course on Fat Loss Specialization which is held in Hong Kong. And so... I've decided to go for it~
Here is a vlog summary of the trip with fitness friend Kit Mah representing Malaysia~There were 2 theory and 2 practical sessions within a day, for 3 days. We learnt a lot from Benjamin Siong in the area of fitness and nutrition for optimal health performance.
I was indeed nervous, but excited at the same time as I was surrounded by inspiring fitness individuals who attended the course.
I have gained insight that there are many areas to look at than just losing fats, understanding a client is crucial and with knowledge about how our body works, maintaining muscle mass, we can actually lose those excessive fats.
I am glad to be part of this family, and I have made new friends from Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada and United Kingdom.
We enjoyed the trip, had a lot of good food and desserts, as we were basically on holiday~ haha...... because we deserve those food after all those awesome workout routines~ Also, being as original this video can be, I don't mind showing the struggles I have as a newbie... hahaha...
