Got the news of some ex-colleagues/good friends need to be sent to quarantine camps because some people contracted covid19 at their restaurant. In the midst of this seems-like-never-ending pandemic feels like the world is crumbling around us. It is tearing down the world us humans built piece by piece without any pity. What we once considered as norm are no longer what we could have effortlessly. But what is “norm” anyway & what could truly brings us “peace”?
Actually things & people come & go with or without this pandemic. Last year it was iPhone 11, now, people would only go for iPhone 12. Being a millionaire was such a great achievement, but look around now, how many billionaires are out there. Going after these things are just as despairing as chasing after the wind with the hope of you’d catch something with your hand. Today, let us all rethink; shall we still continue to anchor our existence on perishable earthly possessions, superficial achievements & forever changing standards? Or shall we anchor ourselves on something that’d never change eternally?
This is the time I feel how important & what a blessing it is to have God’s peace with us but not what the world tells us we need. Thank you, my Heavenly Father for this eternal gift, You are the only one who could give this to us, and I pray that this could be welcomed by more & more of us.
