This #asana gives me a great sense of #freedom. But if your hips or hamstrings are tight, it could be a nightmare. Feel free to use the wall, where the top foot pushed firmly on it. The wall will be highly beneficial to those who are less #flexible, and for those who can go deeper, it will help them too. Hope this guide will help you:

1️⃣ Come into #lowlunge or #anjaneyasana with the left foot forward. Bring your hands to the floor next to the left foot. If you're less flexible, they can be in front of the foot.

2️⃣ In the next inhale bring the right leg up and hips over the left foot. Keep the right leg as straight as you can (as seen in pictured). If your left hamstring feels very tight, keep the left knee bent/softened.

3️⃣ If your hands can't touch the floor, place two yoga blocks under your hands. Gaze at the left foot. Stay still and breathe deeply here. If you're more flexible, you may even hold the left ankle with the left hand, or even with both hands if you can balance.

4️⃣ Make sure your spine stays long but not round. Stay for 5 - 10 deep breaths. Change side.
