I am tossing my plans of visiting Melbourne n setting off on a spontaneous journey with nothing more than my starting point planned. Tomorrow I leave to #Cooma and thereon begins the journey to the unknown, tracing n exploring offbeat places on the go. There are no reservations made for transport or stay, no itineraries. My wedding was a rushed affair. Hubs and I both took only 1-2 days of leave from work for our big day. Our big day just sailed like any other day. We both got back to work immediately after and life just got busier; up until I started to feel the need to pause n step away from work. Mr Hot pant's schedules looked too busy to be holidaying at this point (it still is!) and he seemed already tired from his business travels. A secret - he has always been a bit meh about travelling (yes, i confirm, such species exist !)😀 😇 . But he encouraged me to go ahead. While i was contemplating going away on a weekend to some nearby place, he supported to consider a good solo vacation. Fast forward to few weeks; here I am solo-honeymooning (as I like to call it) in Australia. This is also my second solo travel ! I hv the energy of a 9 yr old wanting to tell him everything that i see n experience each day. Haven't caught him envious yet 😈😇. So that's good,right?!

This vacation is a reminder that just cos we are married and are a couple, we are not joined at the hip. While some may raise eyebrows at it, I believe it to be a sign of love n trust. I'd encourage everyone to put solo travels on ur bucket list too, if ur intuition calls for it and if u hv amazing partners to back you !
