My current body composition. Let's talk about this. Your fitness progress isn't just about the number on the scale. The scale doesn't always give you the full picture. You need to know where is the weight coming from? Is it MUSCLE or FAT?

For instance you might be getting smaller and leaner, your clothes fit better, however your weight might stay the same or even increase! Don't get panic! That's because you've lost fat but increased in muscle mass. 💪🏼
.
Muscle is 18% more dense than fat. So one pound of muscle takes up less space in the body compared to one pound of fat. Hence if a person has more muscle mass and less fat but weighs more, he/she would still look leaner.

I used to weight between 48-49kgs but had higher body fat percentage, >22%. Now I'm 51kgs and is at 19% body fat. I'm at the stage where I enjoy my fitness routine and the number doesn't bother me as much. In fact, I rarely weigh myself anymore.

For those of you who are curious, you can get this reading using a body composition analyzer. This machine is usually available in the gym. Just ask a personal trainer to assist you with it. 😊

LONG POST, but read it if you want to change.
"Alex, you are doing Fitness 24/7, you have time for the gym and for your health, it's YOUR job, of course it's easy to go to the gym, and commit to your health. You get sponsored free supplements. Most of us have work, family, friends and life to go on, don't tell us blah blah blah..."
I had enough of these BS EXCUSE, here's a little story about me. I was extremely skinny, no doubt, the picture you see on the left, I was 179CM weighing at 52kg. Today Im 186cm, weighing at 80kg LEAN (89Kg off season)
I BEGGED my mom to let me join the gym, yes I had the privilege, I was lucky my family could afford to pay for my gym access and supplement back then, but I didn't take it for granted. I know what my goal was, it was to look the BEST version of myself, and take control of my life.
Personal Trainer? I had none since DAY 1, I self taught myself everything, learnt from the best and apply it, learnt my mistake and continue to learn till today.
Friends? 99% goes PARTY, SMOKE or DRINK, that is why you only see a few of my buddies who sticked with me since day 1. I had to make a choice, which one was more important? To become better or to go and talk nonsense with people I don't associate with.
Job? I dropout from College cause I didn't believe I was meant for a 9-5 job for life. I did modelling, did what I could with what I have , hell there are days I don't even make money, even months! This led to quarrels and argument with my loves one.
Career? I got cheated on with my work, I decided to drop the damn modelling crap and depended on my own and what I love most, FITNESS. I share my story in order to help others, inspire and motivate. Getting sponsored is a blessing, because they believed in me.
Reason I'm where I am? Because I believed in myself, I had a goal, I made priorities, I made commitments, I made painful SACRIFICES. I know where I'll be in 5 years time, ask me and I'll tell you from A-Z. I know I'm not far yet, but with consistency and belief, nothing is impossible. God damn I even made it into the AMAZING RACE TV SHOW with my brother, we were just two idiots who believe.
If you want results, if you want something SO DAMN BAD, there shouldn't be BS excuses that you should make just to feel better. I was just a kid, underweight and weak as hell, who believes in himself.
If I can do it, you can. Don't drop your standards, listen to your heart, not idiots who tells you that you can't do it cause they can't. They failed and wants to convince you to be just like them.
I'm telling you to get out there, who cares if your 15 - 35? Age is just a number.
Dream. Believe. Execute.

- How did that make you feel?
- What did you use to feel insecure about?
We’ve all been affected by the comments others put onto us. Regardless of how you look, or how you want to look like, there will always be detractors everywhere, telling you what you SHOULD look like.
We all deserve to live in OUR BODY without receiving the prejudice of others. It is NEVER ok to put other people down.
Don’t be so quick to judge or to tell someone what they SHOULD be or how they SHOULD look like. You do not know their story. You do not know their journey. After all, who gets to determine what you SHOULD look like? Only YOU.
Healthy comes in all shapes and sizes. Regardless of where we are: big or small, thick or thin, let’s support each other and be your own version of “good” and not someone else’s. I AM MY BEST ME!
