Resepi Cakoi Lembut & Gebu | Soft & Fluffy Chinese Breadstick Recipe

Bahan-Bahan
2/3 cwn air suam
1 sk yis
2 sb gula
2 cwn tepung gandum
1 1/2 sb minyak jagung
1 sk garam
Nota: Resepi ini untuk hidangan 2-3 orang.
Cara memasak
1. Campurkan air suam, gula dan yis ke dalam satu mangkuk dan biarkan sehingga yis berbuih dan mengembang.
2. Di dalam satu mangkuk besar, campurkan tepung gandum, minyak jagung dan garam.
3. Kemudian, masukkan campuran yis tadi ke dalam mangkuk adunan tepung gandum.
4. Gaul dan uli adunan sehingga menjadi doh. Sekiranya doh masih kering, tambahkan air sedikit demi sedikit.
5. Setelah doh siap diuli, biarkan doh mengembang di dalam mangkuk sehingga saiznya menjadi dua kali ganda lebih besar.
6. Kemudian, buangkan angin dalam doh dengan menekan doh tersebut.
7. Leperkan doh menggunakan penggelek. Pastikan tidak terlalu nipis.
8. Potongkan doh kepada beberapa bahagian lebih kecil. Ambil lidi atau pisau plastik yang dibasahkan, tekan bahagian tengah doh dan lapiskan dengan potongan doh lain.
9. Panaskan minyak di dalam kuali. Tarik sedikit potongan doh cakoi sebelum dimasukkan ke dalam minyak panas.
10. Gorengkan cakoi sehingga bertukar warna keperangan.
11. Cakoi lembut dan gebu siap untuk dinikmati.

Ingredients
2/3 cup of warm water
1 tsp of yeast
2 tbsp of sugar
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tbsp of corn oil
1 tsp of salt
Cooking methods
1. Mix warm water, sugar and yeast into a bowl and let it forms foam on surface and rise.
2. In a big bowl, mix all-purpose flour, corn oil and salt together.
3. Then, add yeast that has risen into the flour mixture.
4. Mix and knead the mixture until it becomes dough. If dough is too dry, add water gradually.
5. Once it is done, let the dough rise until it becomes two times bigger.
6. Next, eliminate air inside dough by press it.
7. Flatten the dough using rolling pin. Make sure the dough is not too thin.
8. Cut the dough into small size. Take skewer or plastic knife that has been dipped in water, line and press in the middle of the dough and put another strip of dough on top of it.
9. Heat up cooking oil in pan. Stretch the dough before lower it into hot oil.
10. Deep fry the Chinese breadstick until it turns golden brown.
11. Soft and fluffy Chinese breadstick is ready to be served.

Bahan-Bahan Bertih Jagung
2/3 cwn biji jagung kering
4 sudu besar minyak masak
1 sb mentega
1 sk garam
Bahan-Bahan Karamel
150gm gula
1/2 cwn air
1 sb mentega
Cara memasak
1. Untuk bertih jagung, tuangkan minyak dan panaskan ia di dalam kuali terlebih dahulu.
2. Masukkan mentega dan gaulkannya sehingga larut.
3. Masukkan pula biji jagung kering dan gaulkan seketika.
4. Tutupkan kuali dengan penutup dan biarkan biji jagung kering mengembang dan 'meletup-letup'.
5. Setelah selesai, pindahkan bertih jagung ke dalam mangkuk.
6. Tambahkan garam ke dalam mangkuk bertih jagung dan gaulkannya.
7. Untuk karamel, masukkan gula dan air, biarkan ia masak sehingga bertukar warna coklat keperangan.
8. Kemudian, masukkan mentega dan gaulkan hingga hilang buih-buihnya.
9. Tuangkan karamel ke dalam mangkuk bertih jagung dan gaulkannya.
10. Taburkan bertih jagung ke atas dulang dan biarkan karamel mengeras seketika.
11. Lepas itu, leraikan mana-mana bertih jagung yang masih melekat.
12. Masukkan bertih jagung karamel ke dalam mangkuk dan siap untuk dimakan. Boleh juga simpan dalam bekas kedap udara untuk kekalkan kerangupannya.

2/3 cup of popcorn kernels
4 tbsp of cooking oil
1 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of salt
Caramel Ingredients
150gm of sugar
1/2 cup of water
1 tbsp of butter
Cooking methods
1. For popcorn, pour oil into pan and heat it first.
2. Add butter and stir the mixture until dissolved.
3. Add popcorn kernels and mix it for a while.
4. Close the pan with its lid and let the popcorn kernels pop.
5. Once it is done, transfer the popcorn into a bowl.
6. Add salt into popcorn bowl and mix it.
7. For caramel, add sugar and water, let them cook until golden brown.
8. Next, add butter and simmer altogether until the foam disappear.
9. Pour caramel into popcorn bowl and mix it.
10. Spread popcorn onto tray and let the caramel harden.
11. Then, loosen up the sticky popcorn.
12. Put the popcorn caramel into bowl and ready to be served. Otherwise, keep it in air tight container to maintain the crunchiness.
