How to Make Omusubi Cake (Onigiri Cake)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 1hr
Number of servings: 6
Necessary Equipment:
18x13cm (7x5.1inch) Tamagoyaki Nabe (rectangular omelet pan)

Onigiri Wrappers

Ingredients:
50g (about 5 tbsp.) all purpose flour
5g (about 2 tsp.) black cocoa powder
1 tsp. granulated sugar
a pinch of salt
1 egg *room temperature
1 tbsp. melted butter
125ml (1/2 cup) warm milk
a few drops vanilla extract *if you like
fillings for instance: timtam, gâteau au chocolat, and cookie & cream
Directions:
1. Sift in flour and black cocoa powder in a bowl. Add sugar and salt, then mix well with a wire whisk.
2. Add beaten egg little by little and mix well.
3. Add melted butter and mix well.
4. Add warm milk little by little and mix well. Mix in a few drops vanilla extract if you like. Then cover with plastic wrap and leave the batter to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
5. Use a nonstick pan, or wipe the surface of the frying pan with a thin layer of cooking oil using a paper towel. Heat the pan on medium, pour the batter into the pan, slowly move the pan in a circular motion to spread the batter evenly.
6. Cook until the edges begin to dry, then flip it over and cook the other side for about 10 seconds.
7. Leave them to cool completely.
8. Place the fillings on a sheet of crepe then wrap into a triangle shape (see the video).
9. Use Onigiri wrappers to wrap Onigiri (see the video).
YES! You can make them a day (night) before. Keep them in the fridge. The cream will set nicely and easy to eat in this way. Of course eating them as soon as you can is better.

14cm角型の耐熱容器 1個分
材料:
板チョコレート 1枚(50g)
無塩バター 25g
卵 1個
砂糖 大さじ2
牛乳 大さじ1
ホットケーキミックス 大さじ3
粉糖 適量
作り方:
1.耐熱容器にチョコレートを割り入れ、バターを加えて500Wの電子レンジで1分30秒加熱する。取り出してなめらかになるまで混ぜる。
2.砂糖、卵、牛乳を加えて混ぜ、ホットケーキミックスを加えて粉気が無くなるまで混ぜる。
3.表面を平らにならし、台に数回打ち付けて空気を抜く。
4.ふんわりとラップをかけ、500Wの電子レンジで3分ほど加熱する。焼けたら容器から取り出して冷ます。
5.お好みの大きさに切り分け、粉糖を振ったら、完成!
チーズケーキ
14cm角型の耐熱容器 1個分
材料:
クリームチーズ 200g
砂糖 50g
卵 1個
牛乳 大さじ2
レモン汁 小さじ1
ホットケーキミックス 大さじ3
ブルーベリージャム 適量
ミント 適量
作り方:
1.耐熱容器にクリームチーズを入れ、500Wの電子レンジで1分加熱する。
2.砂糖を加えてすり混ぜる。卵、牛乳、レモン汁を加えて混ぜ、ホットケーキミックスを加えて粉気が無くなるまで混ぜる。
3.表面を平らにならし、台に数回打ち付けて空気を抜く。
4.ふんわりとラップをかけ、500Wの電子レンジで4分ほど加熱する。焼けたら容器から取り出して冷まし、冷蔵庫で1時間冷やす。
5.お好みの大きさに切り分け、ブルーベリージャム、ミントを乗せたら、完成!

Gateau Au Chocolat
Servings: 2
INGREDIENTS
50 grams chocolate bar
25 grams unsalted butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
3 tablespoons pancake mix
Powdered sugar, for sprinkling
Special Equipment
14 x 14-cm square microwave-safe container
PREPARATION
Break up a chocolate bar and add it and the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe container. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Stir until smooth.
Add sugar, egg, and milk and mix together. Add pancake mix and combine.
Flatten the surface and deflate the mixture by tapping the container on a surface several times.
Cover with plastic wrap and heat in a microwave at 500W for 3 minutes. Once it’s baked, remove the cake from the container and let it cool down.
Cut into desired number of pieces and sprinkle the powdered sugar on top.
Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
200 grams cream cheese
50 grams sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons pancake mix
1 tablespoon blueberry jam
Mint, for garnish
Special Equipment
14 x 14-cm square microwave-safe container
PREPARATION
In a microwave-safe container, add the cream cheese and heat in the microwave at 500W for 1 minute.
Add sugar and mix together until smooth. Add egg, milk, and lemon juice and mix together. Add the pancake mix and mix until well combined.
Flatten the surface and deflate the mixture by tapping the container on a surface several times.
Cover with plastic wrap and heat in the microwave at 500W for 4 minutes. Once it’s baked, remove the cake from the container and let it cool down, then chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
Cut into desired number of pieces and top with blueberry jam and mint.
Enjoy!

あのホットケーキミックスで出来ちゃいますよ!
今回はほんのり抹茶の2色で作ってみました。

≪ 材料 出来上がり直径約8㎝ 7~8個分 ≫
ホットケーキミックス 200g
卵 1個
バター 50g
グラニュー糖 30g
牛乳 17g
抹茶 3g
グラニュー糖(仕上げ用) お好みで

【ミニメロンパン生地を作る】
①バターを耐熱容器に入れ、600wで約20秒加熱して溶かす。
その後、オーブンを180度に予熱する。
②溶かしバターにグラニュー糖を入れてよく混ぜる。
③卵を溶き、牛乳、②のバター、をいれ混ぜ合わせる。
④ホットケーキミックスを入れ練らないように混ぜ合わせる。
⑤生地を2つに分ける。片方に抹茶を入れて混ぜ合わせる。
⑥小さく丸めてオーブンシートの上に置き、カードか包丁で
メロンパンの模様をつける。
★丸める大きさにより取れる個数が変わってきます。
模様をつけるときは深めにつけるとくっきりと模様がでます。
⑦上からグラニュー糖を振りかける。
⑧180度オーブンで約12分から13分焼成する。
あら熱をとって出来上がり。
★オーブンによって差があります。
焼き色を良くチェックして焼き時間は目安としてください。
焼き色が気になるときには上からアルミホイルをかけると良いです。

Today’s sweet recipe is “Mini melon bread made by hot cake mix”.
A very delicious melon bread which has fluffy and crisp cookie rough.
Because it is a kind of bread, perhaps it is very difficult to make.

Today we will use only 2 matcha colors to make it.
Freshly mixed bread, why not take some of them.
≪Recipe the final diameter is about 8㎝ 7~8 pieces≫
hot cake mix 200g
egg 1
butter 50g
caster sugar 30g
milk 17g
match 3g
caster sugar(for finish) your preference
【Mini melon bread rough recipe】
①Put the butter into a heat-resistant container, heat for 20 seconds 600w until it begin to thaw.
Then Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
②Add caster sugar into the melted butter and mix them up.
③Add the egg, milk and②butter then mix up.
④Add hot cake mix and mix up. But please be very carefully not to let them begin to set.
⑤Divide the rough into 2 parts. Apply matcha to 1 of them.
⑥Make them into small orbs and put onto the oven-sheet. Then make some melon bread carving on the curd by kitchen knife.
★Different size will change the orbs number.
And please carve the curd hardly in order to let the pattern can be seen very clearly.
⑦Scatter the caster suger on them.
⑧Heat by over for about 12~13 minutes on 180°C.
★Different oven will take different time.
You need to pay lots of attentions on the color for it will be the standard of finish time.
You can cover some aluminum foil when you feel anxious about the color.

⑨Cool down and finish.
